Which group did you guys roll with?
Easy
Med
hard?

Looks like fun, but I'd still be trying to coax parts of my body back from hiding until next week :D

I SOO wanted to go, but the boy needed me and he didn't want to be in the car all weekend

The route Jeffery Dozier planned for us was based on input I gave him from conversations with our Vice Commander. We could have hit the harder trails but as cold as it was (high of 24) and with several folks driving rigs back home, the idea was to see as much of the DBBB as possible, minimize pavement miles, see Hollerwood OHV PArk, but have some challenges without spending the entire day in a creek bed pulling cable. I think most would agree we accomplished the mission. We traveled completely through the 3000 acre Hollerwood Park and saw where some of the harder trails were located. In the 52 miles we saw about 1/3 of the DBBB and minimized the miles traveled on pavement. We left out a large section of the Byway due to the road distance to reach it based on our start location. We also did not travel through the natural rock tunnel that access yet another section of the byway. There are plenty of options here.

All of this including the Hollerwood Park will open officially May 1, 2016. Jeffery will be planning an opening ride for May 1, 2016. The OHV Park Hollerwood Park will have a monthly fee ($30) or annual fee ($50) but the DBBB will be free of charge. Mapping for both the OHV Park and the DBBB will be available for download here CartoTracks | Smart.Mapping. at a discount to Members of SFWDA.

SFWDA will have a meet and greet ride on November 16, 2016. THis will be hosted by ORFWDA and Jeffery Dozier.

Bumping this back up. I saw the entire loop is available now. 98.7 miles :driver: Looks like a very long weekend. Is there camping on the side of the trail allowed?

There are several options for camping. There are some areas along the trail where you can camp some where you can't. The map you can download from cartotracts shows some of these ares.
