I am not excited about it because once the Arabs run all of the American producers out of business it will be their world monopoly again.

They can ride it out, they have lots of money, US producers are not deep pocketed because of their startup costs of a few years ago.

I seen yesterday high test was .90 higher at a local station. It used to be .20 higher around here. I guess now days they don't add as much water to the good stuff. Lol
 
Scrap must have either bumped up or stock has gotten out of hand. I'm seeing both LKQ and Foss trucks loaded down left and right with cars headed to the market...

I've got about 2500# worth of used gears I need to scrap. I'll look into current rates and report back

I hated to cave and sell em that cheap but one of em had no axles under it and had my trailer tied up and the other one was just in the way.Ive only got an acre and when you have 8/10 trucks sittin around plus what we tag/insure,plus four trailers space is kinda at a premium.

Same deal here, I had 12K of brake rotors on my trailer and needed a load of mulch......
 
Saw a trailer load of crushed cars apparently coming from LKO, & the next day a trailer load of Late model cars, going in. I'd have to believe some just came from the insurance yard. NICE!
Recon you gotta make room, & replenish stock, to make money!

Yeah,if we used what we made,but if chinas floodin the market w steel,a export increase on our part would just make it worse.
 
The whole issue that brought us here is the kids busting ass in China working for 25 cent an hour. Little bastards...

I guess the only good point is that them kids ain't laying on the couch at home hooked on X-box???

Also, for the hard lines that walked up hill both ways in the snow to school... do it to work at age 10-12 in China for 25 cent an hour in miserable conditions with air so polluted that you can hardly breath. THEN preach how hard your life was...

We've been saving crushed cans for about a year and have 2 large garbage bags filled...

Here its like .40/lbs.I think it takes something like 34 cans to make a pound.

Yeah and to me it's not worth foolin with but we don't have many cans.If we had a lot of cans I'd save em.The neighbor saves his and what few we have he gets.
