Another vote for reese's. Also, I love some damn whatchamacallits.

I'll second the Milky Way Dark, I had a high school girlfriend who got me hooked on those 25 years ago. That's probably my favorite miniature candy at Halloween.

I had a lady that worked for me, her husband owned Fleming Candy Co. Every few weeks I'd find an entire box of King Size bars sitting at my desk. let's just say, I gained a few pounds while she reported to me.

A friend in Charlottesville makes small batch caramels that are amazing. It's my birthday/Mother's Day present to myself every year.

I've never made caramel bites like that, but caramel sauce (like you get in a jar for ice cream, apples, etc) is very easy to make at home. Just sugar in a pan, stopped at the right temp with butter or cream and then add some fine flake sea salt for a little salty crunch. Super cheap to make and impossible to have around without eating.

Also marshmallows are super easy to make at home, no corn syrup required. Roll those things in toasted coconut and they're awesome. I only make them 2 or 3 times a year because then I eat them all and feel bad about myself.

Licorice Allsorts, But they've gotten near impossible to find fresh :(

I've never made marshmallows but have heard it's easy and they're tastier. I've made caramel sauce and it's definitely easy. I like my friend's and she even got a mention in Garden & Gun recently. :D

Lindor truffles from the fridge are my favorite...followed closely by Reeses cups (especially the ones with the Reeses pieces inside), gummy bears, and pretty much all other candy

My grandmother used to get those and leave them in a big dish when we would go over there. I love licorice anyway, but those things would be rock solid by the time we would eat them. I think the last bag I got of them had the same (lack of) freshness! She passed away in like 1992
