I just wanted to know if the lugs were loose. Under-torqued nuts are a quick pathway to stud fatigue and failure, and the fact that multiple studs broke could back that up.

Not sure. I just put them on Thursday with adapters. Felt a weird vibration coming down 421 and got off the exit. Didn't see anything so I thought I'd take it easy and get home. Made 200 feet......

What kind of adapters? Are you using the adapter to change PCD (pitch circle diameter) or stud count, so do the adapters have their own studs? I have some strong opinions about wheel adapters, because this type of failure is not uncommon with certain types...

Make absolutely sure to replace all of the studs at that position, because if you've fatigued 2 studs then the other 3 cannot be trusted anymore.

Wait, if you lost your wheel, how did you have any studs left?

They are adapters to go from 5x4.5 to 5x5. Yes they have their own studs. Will be replacing rotor, and likely the whole hub.

If you went from hub-centric to lug-centric with the adapters this changes how you tighten lug nuts. Got to spend more time cross tightening nuts. Need to rotate tire while doing this to get it to center properly.

While making 2 trips to Lowe's today, for faucet repairs [I might have known!:shaking:], I spotted this customer. Guessing No truck, but he Did have a Prius. Folded down the back seats, & loaded probably 500# + of bag material!:bounce2:

I wish I got a picture of the lady putting bulk firewood in the back of a brand new Mercedes SUV today (not at Lowe's).
 
When I cut my oak down in my front yard I had a guy show up in a 3-4 year old BMW suv to get a piece of the trunk. It was 50+ " around and 14" thick.
