Ok guys i've been looking in to puting some rock lights on the jeep and these things range so much in price from the Lux rock ligts to the ones you finds on Amazon whats your opinions and what are y'all runing

Cheap is good. Middle-of-the-road is good. Pricey is good.

Just pick a set and go with it.

Me: $30 Amazon 20" light bar, bullshitty little LED pods. They all work.

I run Rigid Industries rock lights and they’re stupid bright. Expensive if you buy new, but here’s 2 sets from a forum member...

Cleaning out my garage, Rigid lights and 3/4 gen Ram goodies

This is one item I desperately need to work on. Of course, LEDs are the only option. Small, compact and stupid bright.

edit: did a little digging through the interwebs and found these.

They're the next version they made. The first version had 24 LEDs (8 units with 3 LEDs a piece). This one is 32 and have 4 per unit. I say for $20 you can't go wrong. As one reviewer said, you may have to splice and dice to get more length between lights but that's not a big deal to me.

I just bought a set of the LUX lights for the wife's JK cause they were only ones I could find in purple. But I was pretty impressed with them, they bright and well made.

I put these on. Before I got them on a noticed a FB friend bought a set for $12 with double the amount of lights I got. He said they were RV lighting. Below is what they look like. 8 pods with 4 LEDs per pod. The picture looks better than reality IMO. We'll see how they do on the trail.

I won some rock lights on a waffle (Facebook raffle). They are multi-color and all that jaz. I started putting them on and the wires aren’t long enough to reach front to back. It supposed to be all plug and play, there are 4 tiny wires for each pod and I didn’t have time to mess with splicing them all. I got frustrated and took what I had off and threw them back in the bag. I’ll mess with them later.

I did test them to a battery, they are RGB rock lights if you look on amazon. They seem pretty bright. For what they are.

I used to run some led light pods and they worked well for the $. Bought off amazon or eBay for real cheap. 4 led lights per pod. Cheap and easy. Secure with a zip tie and done.

I went with the 4" pods, won a couple sets, and bought a pack of 10 for a low price, sold 4, ended up with very little in the others. I bought cheap ones because I figured they get trashed. I lost a lens on one, but it's worked for 2 years. even with mud, pressure washing, it still works
Go cheap, so when you trash it, you aren't out much. Just my opinion.

Waffle ass is what they used to call the inmates at Guantanamo early in the war. They would have butt sex with each other through the chain link fence therefore leaving the receiver with a waffle like pattern on his ass. You’re welcome.
Why are there 3 people that "like" this?

I screwed it all up.
