This ish makes me mad

I don't care for the "I could cast a white guy, but I've already seen that movie" type of stuff. That is saying there is nothing unique about your movies except that they star black people, which is a rather strange thing to imply.

Nothing wrong here. I actually prefer people to be brutally honest up front.

I agree. I feel a person that tells you what you WANT to hear is usually trying to extract something from you. But when you "tell it like it is" you're usually labeled an Asshole. That's fine though. Most of my true friends are assholes. There's exceptions of course (James is the kindest, most generous person I've ever met) but even still, he's brutally honest. He just does it with a smile and lifts you up at the same time

The rest really aren't too concerned with how you take that honesty :huggy:

What's ironic is how Jordan is married to a white woman. THAT....is what I find kind of odd. I mean, if you're going to be the kind of person to promote your race, maybe you want to do so in your marriage first?

Everyone has their taste, but I thoroughly enjoy his movies.

I agree with this. Not to mention I am sure that what was said has been taken out of context, but to say " I want to be able to say this myself but I don't want him to say this" is a little hypocritical.

Yeah its kinda like. Did you marry for love? if so, then great, but that just shows his wife was the right person regardless of color. When you cast for a movie, its who's gonna be best for the job.

I just hate that it just goes to show it all depends on not what someone says, but who says it.

it all depends on not what someone says, but who says it.

Yup.

That's life.

Double edged sword for sure. I.E. "it's not what you know, it's WHO you know" (see USC and aunt Becky)

You can either exploit this commonality, and benefit.....while dealing with the guilt associated (if that kinda thing even bothers you) OR, you take the moral high road and work a great deal harder to POSSIBLY get to the same place thru your own efforts. Happens in every facet of life.
