So, after getting my XJ pretty much finished up, this fell into my lap...

A little back story.
I had a fj80 years ago, out of all the vehicles I have owned , it was my favorite.
I have owned many jeeps since then, but have always been more of a Toyota guy.

I have been on the look out for a rust free, locked fzj80 for almost 10 years. Now days, they are stupid expensive, and hard to come by.

This thing will be a very mild build, just mainly used to pull my camper over easier trails.

It will get OME coils and shocks, 35s, bumpers and sliders and probably some real skids.

First up, pull the damn running boards off it...

I got showed up by one of these in URE one time. Lots of rain the night before left the 1st ledge on Daniel pretty slick. I beat on it for a little bit in my TJ with 36” TSLs till my passenger axle let go.

While I pulled over to the side to make a quick swap a Lexus like that on like 33s went over and walked it. I still say I spun all the loose stuff off and dried it up, my friends still rag me to this day and say I got owned on the trail by a Lexus.

For what it's worth, I honestly think my old bone stock 80 series would go anywhere my current xj would go....

While I can appreciate this thread, and have since replied to receive updates, I am now spoiled by @Dylan W. for build threads....as he posted after a few weeks where he had made progress and could feed us immediately, instead of giving us a taste and making us wait weeks before an update :flipoff2:

Still...I look forward to updates on this

If it will make you sleep better at night, I will promise to use vast amounts of armorall on everything that can be armoralled on this truck?

I MAY approve of this IF you use the foaming type. None of that pump trigger wet look crap. Must be foaming for proper distribution and consistency.

Also, either pull each wheel and do the backside and between the lugs like a human, or place on Jack stands and run in 4lo and spray from one location as the wheels turn rotating from front lip of wheel to back lip of wheel. Usually only takes 2 full cans :huggy:
