BigClay's TJ

hopefully this will hold me over for a while :D

Because that one long armed, V8, caged, and larger axled Jeep you once had didn’t? :flipoff2:

The PO of my TJ thought he was a fabricator. He was such a good fabricator that he welded the front lower axle side control arm mounts upside down. In addition the short arms that he put on there all had rubber bushings. Most of the rubber bushings were seized. Long story short the jeep had absolutely no flex up or down; ask anyone that I wheeled with, it was bad. Well today that all changed. The front is now 3 linked, and the bumpstops are actually needed! Softer springs and some longer shocks will be next but for now it is good.

So who did the 3 link? :D

I'm hoping it comes in for a 3/4 Link during the winter.

Well one year later and the 4 link rear is reality. Thanks @Chris_Keziah at Rev Limit Fab for the conversion.

9” stretch utilizing the brand new Gen Right 15 gallon gas tank, JK stock coils and a lot of grinding off old crappy “welds” from the PO.

I cannot wait to see your reaction to how well this thing will do in a few weeks.

I can't wait to see his reaction just driving it. No more clunk when you let out on the clutch. I just love the comparison here, all the up travel.

There was some crazy “bracing” someone goobered together on the frame side control arm mounts. Took several hours to get those off!

@adamk has a pic of me attacking a portion of the frame with the BIG grinder, talk about a workout!

is this the same one where chris had to go in and plug weld the gouges after someone got a little over zealous with the grinder?

You’ll have that on those big jobs...

Could have just said thanks for the help...:flipoff2:

Was going to kid you about the stolen steering wheel. But, did you hear about the guy that stopped at a hotel, & kept the steering wheel in his hotel room, with him? He got up the next morning, & his vehicle was gone! Guess they're interchangeable! :p
