Jeep Expo for Miracles - Hickory, NC - Sept. 29th

OK people, as of yesterday there is only one Jeep entered in the expo. I know there are some sweet Jeeps around. Got to have some Jeeps enter or what will we have to look at?

Your Jeep doesn't have to be a Mall Crawler to enter. Matter-of-fact, go get it covered in mud (if you can find any) and enter it. This is for a good cause and its about Jeeps, its not billed as a show-n-shine.

I've got my application, just need to drop it off this weekend.
 
I am going to be there, as well as at least 2 others I know of, just haven't taken the time to register yet.
 
I'm planning on being there with my jeep(yj), also bringing a friend and his TJ. Do we need to register early, or can we just register that day?
 
i'll see if i can roll my MTR's to the wallyworld in hickory...if i can find it.
 
i gotta figure out if i'll be around...thats like 3 weeks from now or something so i have no clue what i'm doing.
 
ahhhhhh. nc state game vs. lousville that day. if its a 7 o clock game i might could come overwise i'll have to miss out on the big event....
 
If they treat everyone as I was treated at Walmart this evening, I can see why the sign up is low. After waiting my turn, I asked the person behind the counter for a entry form. She says "what do you mean" ? I pointed at the flier taped the the counter. She says" i don't know anything about that, I usually work a different dept". :shaking: I ask if they have any of the forms. She looks around and finds a folder. I am thinking we are on to something so I fill out the form. I attempt to give her my $20 entry fee and she says "I don't know what to do with it" . I said can you please call someone and see what you need to do. Yup she says. Management says to come back tomorrow..WTF I explain that I drove an hour to get there, she passes this along to management. After numerous exchanges on the phone they send over someone who says" I know what to do" I am thinking finally! She says have you filled the form filled out? I say Yup. She says got your $20. I say yup. She says thanks. I say can I get a receipt stating I have paid. She says nope, can't do that. I said a hand written one would do, nothing official. She said, can't do that. I said, how do I have proof that I have paid. She said it was not her problem, she works for Walmart. Instead of pinching her head off and watching her body wiggle itself to death, I just took my form and money and left:fuck-you:. I will mail the form with a photocopy of the check. I hope this will not be a wasted drive to Hickory on the 29th. Especially since it is for a good cause

Sorry about your problems Steve. I am just just helping out with promoting it and hope this doesn't affect you going. I think it will be a great time for all, but it is the first year. I have printed out your issue and will give it to the Sporting Goods Manager who is helping set this up.

seeing as hickory is 3.5+ hours away...i think i'll miss this unfortunitly
 
if your going 40 west get off the fairgrove church exit and take a left....at the stoplight by bennets take a right and go straight till you see it...if your coming 40 east get off the highway 70 exit...it will say hickory/newton...take a right off the exit..take a left at the stoplight at the top of the hill..go straight till you see it...easy as pie:D
 
Just an FYI, If you are mailing the entry forms, make the checks out "Childrens Miracle Network". If you are wanting a Tax ID number (for tax purposes) it will be available the day of the event (just be sure to ask).
 
Does this thing even work? I'm going to the Jeep Expo for Miracles in Hickory!! My big 'ole CJ will be there too. No need to wash! A clean Jeep is a beautiful thing but a muddy Jeep is a work of art!:driver:
