Gas Cooktop in place of Electric

This is the easiest and cleanest solution. Bu not cheapest (would be cheaper to buy a new 110v panel breaker and switch the wire to that). So its a question of what your time is worth.

To take a circuit that has hot-hot-neutral and use a pigtail to go to hot-neutral-unconnected ground.
I think he's saying just use the wire and set it up like a normal 110v circuit in the panel and terminus at the outlet. Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

If you're going to do the work already change it in the panel box, then why spend $60 on a converter cable instead of $5 on a proper outlet fixture?

I was running on the assumption that the new stove ran on 110V. I guess I misunderstood.
