Ridiculous tie down point??

After 20+ years of strapping down my NT axles, I'm struggling to find the problem with going around the tubes... granted, it's tighter than others, but still has plenty of room between the perches<>C's

I like the straps with chain ends. They work nice when space is tight and you don't have to worry about cuts. I always tie down at the axles. Sprung areas are a bad idea.

Those leaf spring plates don’t appear to be available commercially…. If I had access to fab some, would there be any interest? I’m a hobby guy, not a vendor, so caveat emptor and use at your own risk (for the attorneys).

I‘d use 1/4” steel either laser cut or plasma.

Ive got Chris Alston's on my mustang, but I really dont like their new style after the redesign.

I almost typed "acceleration forces" too, but after I stopped laughing and dried my eyes, I decided against it. :D
