This is probably Isbell's best song. It might take second place against Outfit, but I can't think of better than those two. If We Were Vampires is probably third, just because of how fucking depressing it is.

I pulled him up on iHeart and saved as a favorite. I do not know how I had not heard of this guy before. I love that style that blends blues and country.

I have a playlist called Redneck Blues.

My buddy Don owns a ranch in CO. We’ve gone out many times to check on things, it is in Westcliffe. Don is a singer/musician and we went to an open mic in Florence where some great music is done.

This guy came in wearing threadbare clothes, worn out boots and carrying a guitar case that looked like it had been dragged down the road. When he took the stage and began to play and sing, everyone in that place was spellbound.

He did 3 songs initially and was by a wide margin the best in that room. He sounded like Merle and Waylon had a love child and played effortlessly.

When he played 3 more later, the entire place was on their feet. He left walking. Simply amazing.
