From the replies here, looks like they are trying to create one.

So, shit paper, lumber, gas, now fireworks. This is just too good to be true.

Dont forget about no microchips…impacting the used/new vehicle market as well. That one one is actively pissing me off.

I don’t even think about it cause I have not, will I ever, own a new vehicle
Lack of new vehicles is driving the price of reasonably priced USED vehicles sky high

Oh I see it I’m just saying that keeping a vehicle is an option. I just don’t see the turning a vehicle over every year or two. Hold what you got and drive it and the used market wouldn’t be so strapped. Just my .02

Yeah...I generally start looking once a vehicle hits the 200k mark, and want to have it replaced by 250k with something 2-3 years old. Currently, if I want to get exactly what my wife has, same year and same miles...it's $10k more than what I paid 3 years ago for half the miles and a 3 year newer vehicle.

Yep, just this week the dealer offered me $10k more than I paid for my 1500 a little less than a year ago. If there was anything else I liked (that I could find) I'd be all over it. I've made money on cars I've bought used but never new before....
