Random pic thread.

Tornado warning here and huge wind just came through. I looked out the front door afterwards and the right half of this pine is laying somewhere out in the yard or driveway, at least 40-50ft from where it started. I can't see it, but I see where it used to be

But it didn't hit the well house or any of the cars. So that's why I posted it here.
Figured out why the top was so far away....

Yep, that would have been real bad if it went the other way. It did graze the corner of the roof on the well house, but didn't even damage the shingles.

Wife: Crap, we forgot to do my little boy’s snowman project and he’s got practice tonight!

Me: Say no more. I’ve got it.

I better get an A. Decided to forgo the pistol and M4. Kindergarten teacher might frown upon that.

If your kid is like most, you need to color outside the lines to make it believable.

Exact reason I took every single pine off my lot
I have a maple down from last nights storm too, similar scenario. And the mid-sized oak in my front yard did the same about 10 years ago in one of these massive thunderstorm related winds. With that said, I also dislike pine trees :D

Ah, the joy of cats...

Took the kids to Waffle House for the first time today. It did not disappoint. Food was great, and atmosphere was on point.

Got around to cleaning up the damage from Thursday night. It was definitely a Tornado, but it was an EF0 with 75mph winds that was 25 yards wide. Thank the Lord that was all, because it went right over us.

Good opportunity to play with the big boy toys today.

Theres just something gratifying about completely burying your foot in chips.

Once I got the damaged tree down and cleaned up, I felt motivated to take care of a couple others that had been on the list.

And got 1 stump ground too before dinner time.

Ended up taking down and cutting up 11 trees total, 7 little 5-6 inch trees and 4 big pines in the 14-18" range. Started at 3pm, and stopped at 6:30. Not bad for 3.5hrs.

Don't you have a sawmill? If you do not share pics of boards being made I'm gonna be disappointed.

That's why I kept the trunks and cut to 16'6". But I can almost guarantee they will rot before I get around to cutting them. Wanna come help cut boards tomorrow afternoon? Then clean out my shed so I have somewhere to put them?

Had I saw this before 10 am today, Yes. That would have been awesome.
