Dang!

yeah I get that.
But sometimes, some people, don't actually WANT a bigger truck. A small truck is way easier to park and maneuver around a city.
Hell most modern "mid size" trucks don't even fit in a typical garage.
I don’t understand this “parking in a garage” thing can you please explain? I thought that big space with the oversized door was for the wife to stash endless load of crap that I’m gonna have to load and move here in the near future “cause it’s important!” Lmao 😂😂😂

Also, twin lifted Cummins house and at best the little yota would never warrant a garage space regrdless. Hahahaha

Too bad the Ranger/Colorado/Canyon/Tacoma/Frontier aren't really much more affordable than their 1/2 ton counterparts.
They really aren't much cheaper to produce, so expecting them to be significantly cheaper than the smallest full size truck isn't realistic, the customer should be choosing based on the one that best suits there needs (parking, load size needs, towing requirements) etc.

Price is more about the features/luxury... A fleet 1500 should be less than a Z71 Bison Colorado.

Agreed, but when making a 40k decision it’s hard not to see what all you can get. Cost the same to make them all probably to be honest. Doubt a duramax cost 12k over a 6.0 but they happily charge it, same goes down lower as well

Oh absolutely, but it's not always about the size of the bed... My wife Drives a Gladiator, Not because it's the best mid-size pickup (It might even be the worst!), But because it's the only serious off-road rig that can tow pickup truck size loads (And, well, I wanted it, and bought it for her..)

No disagreement there. Maybe it would be better stated to say "I wish we had such a variety of trucks to choose from that's similar to the variety of cars (including CUV/SUV/crossover/etc) out there" - production cost and consumer demand considerations be damned.

Really, I feel like the variety in car options is decreasing as well. They are all becoming very boring-looking bubbles, just different sizes and shapes.

Also, note that the car market is just a lot bigger bc the vast majority of people don't need a truck. Or at least that for most people a car is a much more logical vehicle. The larger market size will naturally create more room for variety.

Fify. There is no "car" market any more, and the big 3 aren't even making "car" options.

They are selling as quick as Ford wants them to. As mentioned, the dealer markups are killing the sales, as they are marking them up close to what an f150 costs. You can order one, and save on all of that, but the order window fills up in a few weeks after it opens every year. I would say that you cant walk into a dealer and order a 24 model anymore, because the orders are full.

We looked at a Ranger at work when adding another truck. Really just needed a commuter pickup with 4x4. Price and fuel mileage was basically the same as the 150, so we just went with that.
