The ice was terrible on the bridges all over davidson county and Winston on my way to work. Wrecks all over the place.
This isn't the typical NC snow event where no one knows how to drive. 52 was shut down at I40 already at 5:45.

I headed into work around 4 this morning. I take 220 south to 73 south to 40 east in Greensboro. I regretted the decision once I hit the bridges where 73 and 840 run together near the airport in Greensboro. All the bridges were solid sheets of ice and cars were wrecking everywhere. Total chaos, I couldn't imagine what it was like once the traffic picked up.
We had probably 2-3” here in NE TN. Schools closed. Wife tried to take her usual back roads to work this morning and had to turn around and take I-26 because people were all over the place blocking the road.
