Garage Heat: Electric vs Mini Split

Run a dehumidifier, then you get rid of the moisture and you get free heat as a biproduct!
The moisture wasn’t choking it out. Its internal Co2 sensor was kicking it off.Co2 sinking while warm air pulls O2 up and away from the heater. (Unless I’m wrong and forgot the science class I went to 20+ yrs ago while I was probably distracted by bewbies and high (on life of course)) I’m assuming it was kind of creating its own little bubble around the heater. “A breath of fresh air” and it’s running solid. Also helps getting the heat spread around a bit. This coming weekend I’ve got some cheap Amazon solar powered fans I’m going to try and hand in the upper parts to push the heat back down in the GH and hopefully be more efficient all the way around. Like I’ve said to the wife, this is kinda all a big experiment (while being as cheap about it as possible.)

Which model did you go with? Please be sure to post back with updates once it's installed! Trying to figure out which direction I'll be going when I bite the bullet, probably later this year.

Lloyd, 2 zone. 24k on one, 12k on the other. Gunna put the 24k in the unfinished garage, and the 12k in the finished basement.
Already have a hilti and 2.5 core bit. And its prefilled lineset. Should be able to be mounted and running in a day

This thing friggin rocks. I’m going tomorrow to get one for my shop. Alot of heat and zero noise

X2 on this. The best thing about these is you can set it and forget it. The torpedo style doesn't have a a thermostat so its hard to keep it warm over night. I like to keep my garage around 50 degrees at night. I would have one of these in my garage in a hart beat if I had ANY available wall space in my garage.

any concerns with using a 80lb tank or less right next to the unit, so it all stays inside (no plumbing to outside)?
I ran one of these for 2 years with a 20lb tank 3 feet from it. No problems. One of my buddies ran one of the torpedo style with a 100lb tank hooked to the end of the short little factory hose in his garage for over a decade. I'm not real worried about propane tanks.

You won't regret it. I'd like to put one in my shop this year. We put one in the homeschool building and it's great. Only problem is that it's a 12x50 building. Does great at the end its on, but need a good fan to push air down the building.

No apology needed man. I enjoy linking up with folks from here, but there was no obligation.
