Random Thoughts.....

My wife just took my truck to the store. She doesn't know that the ignition key that I leave in the shifter slide doesn't match the doors, nevermind that I have only put a key in a door on that truck once in the past 12yrs. I heard her leave so I text her the door code. Wonder how long it will take her to read my text and figure it all out 😂

I'll never understand why Ford is the only one to do the keypad on the door. That has got to be one of the handiest things ever.

My camry has it on the windshield

I was shocked to see that. I'd only ever had that on my exploder and super duty

It really is. I never take the key out of the truck. It has bitten me once in the 15yrs I've owned the truck. Had a fire call and forgot to turn my hazard lights off when I got to the fire station and killed the battery. I'll take those odds.

I have a Sport Trac with it.
Smartest thing done to a vehicle!

Same with my Excursion. The keys stays in a cubbie in the dash and never leaves. Even better is the kids can get in it too.

That's fine until you DON'T want them to get in, haha. We have keypad locks on our house, so it's impossible to lock the kids outside. :shaking:
its easier to reprogram them than changing a lock key...

Why has nothing like the old hummer CTIS made its way to modern vehicles? I was riding around with the back tires in my 2500 pumped up to 70 psi to drag the trailer around with the tractor on it, and it rode terrible once it was empty. I dropped em back down to 50, and it rides great again. It already has an air compressor on board for the suspension, and it already has a digital communication with the ECM, and remote pressure monitoring for the tire pressure, so it really wouldn’t take but a couple of O-rings and a supply system to make it happen.

What's weird is the military HMMWV didn't GET the CTIS. The 5 tons did. The Hemitt and HET did, but not the HMMWV. However, the civilian H1 DID get it :gtfo: Those aluminum wheels I bought from a civi H1 with the TSL's came with the whole funky piping for the CTIS and had to remove all that and screw in a schrader in it's place just to put air in them.

maybe 10 people in the USA would want that/pay for that

it obviously doesn't poll well at the focus group

is exactly how it works

why do you think there are 7 small SUVs from 7 different automakers that all look the same?

why we can't get the LC 70 series

why we don't get the 300 series

why everything is more expensive and complicated but it has dancing headlights and a light that shines the car logo onto the pavement

and why there is a Grand Highlander FFS (just get a minivan!)

y'all ever accidentally click on the "Home" button instead of the "Forums" button?
Its a nice 3way to be reminded nothing has been updated in a while.
