Deal Alert

I know its not a deal, hell its even kinda expensive for what it is but I really love this little toolset from Harbor Freight.

I picked one up for the house to use working on bicycles and loved it so much I put one on the work truck with a set of 1/4" drive metric and standard sockets.
There’s a bigger set that comes with no skip sockets and extensions/ swivel/ extender handle

I've had the pass thru set for 25+ years. There's been times it was invaluable.
Yeah, seems like the kind of thing that isn’t a necessity 99% of the time, but that 1% it’s the only thing that’ll work. Also the lower profile puts the torque more inline with the bolt or nut, so you’re less likely to round it off. And of course you can use a shallow socket where you’d normally use a deep one. Overall seems like more advantages with almost no disadvantages so I’m surprised they haven’t taken off more. Except people don’t like “different”.

This set came out after I got my first set but when I went to get my second set I passed on this one. It looses all the functions I like about the original set. Its basically just a 1/4" drive socket set. The draw for the other set is the "extension" can pass through the ratchet set and make a T handle that is way more handy that I thought it would be.

All they would have had to do is put the same ratchet from the other set in that one and I'd love it. Now I kinda want to get one and swap em.

I've been meaning to see if I could print one of these to hold the sockets just for kicks. Right now I just have them in a zip up tool pouch.

I've got one of these sets too. It's been rather handy, but not used much.

That’s some targeted marketing right there! The algorithm thinks you’re more likely to buy Bauer batteries and tools than the ratchet set.
