Lots of interesting news today

And on a totally different topic - pretty wild crash at an air show today
This link shows the seconds beforehand.
The amount of luck here - both good and bad - is pretty astounding

BLUF Fender guitars is trying to block anybody that makes a guitar that kinda looks like a strat
worth a listen over lunch

Design patent on that guitar expired like 50 years ago, and it's not a copyrighted/trademarked shape. I don't see how any argument they make could stand up in court. Probably just throwing money at a lawsuit hoping the little guys will have to fold.

yup, and thats pretty much what the video said too.
Its a case of "who can afford more in lawyers", classic trolling situation.
Very Apple-esque of them.

While I don’t agree with flock stuff that dude is off his rocker lol
While I agree w you he also has a point. If you're gonna cry "invasion of privacy" then look at where the biggest invaders are...

You have the option to turn that stuff off or not use it. Not that anyone is realistically going to go without a cell phone these days, but you are free to. Cant opt out of being watched by networked cameras on every corner where you live and work.

You can't truly turn it off. They'll just turn it back on if they want to. Your only real option is to not use it.

Also if you have wifi / bluetooth on and not expressly hidden, you don't even need GPS to be tracked. Other people's phones and other devices around you know you were there.

in 2015 a similar thing happened up here in NE MD, the JLENS blimp took a ride all the way up into central PA.
The memes were hilarious.
The bad press led to the JLENS site getting shut down. DEVCOM ARL took it over (sans blimp... it probably went to TX) and turned it into a pretty kickass outdoor robotics testing site.

So I'll just leave this here
