Wide Open Design LJ buggy build

Or on the tailgate, if he runs one. On the cell/cooler mount if not.

Just curious, what made you decide to do the LJ chassis vs a "tube buggy" with Jeep skins? I know this chassis is just a buggy with a tub sandwiched in the tubing, but I assume there is some design tradeoffs by working around the tub?
Main thing was wanting the extra room. I'm 6'4" and 250ish or so. Pretty big guy. Going with a TJ/LJ gives me around 8" more width vs most buggies. Also, I can easily run half doors, various tops and such to keep the elements out.
But for me another reason is low slung, big tire TJ/LJ just look cool IMO.
I casually spoke with PJ, Cutler and PCR about a buggy. But ultimately after riding in and with some, I prefer a Jeep based rig.

Updates tomorrow. Got a bunch of PSC and Corbeau stuff arriving the next couple days.
Work had been super busy this spring. Not as much free time as I wish
Its tomorrow...

Appears your drivetrain is all solid mounted? Same as the last heep or new to this chassis?
It's a new one for me. I've always used rubber/poly mounts. They do all of theirs like this. Tub is the same way, no isolators.
One good thing is if something clears now, it will always clear.

The filler neck on my radiator hits the hood. But luckily Ujoint Offroad is right down the road and they have some very talented aluminum welders. They're gonna move the filler down the side tank so it's the same height as the top. Adding a bleed port up top too.
Summit is delivering the exhaust tomorrow. All 2.5" mandrel bent tube from each header into a 3" collector and through a Flowmaster Flow FX muffler.
Should get a ton done this weekend
