Motor-sickle Racing (MX/SX, GNCC, MotoGP, Hard Enduro, SBK, etc)

I decided to race a hare scramble for the first time since 2018 last weekend. Went up to VA to race VCHSS on the stark. The course was stupid tight (less than bar width in several sections) and had stupid fast transfer sections. Missed out on a podium by 13 seconds on open electric, too many early mistakes combined with getting a tree wrapped around my hub cost me, but for not racing for that long, I'm not mad at the result.

Slow clap for choosing that venue as a first race back. Good job.

I only chose based on it being less than 3 hours away and it being a day I could go. A buddy had been trying to get me to go race all year.

I didn't know how much the course would suck

I might race Karios and a couple others later this year that aren't too far away.

Almost looks like I know what I'm doing.

Yeah, great showing from Deegan for his first race. Tons of speed, lots of passes, and nothing dumb to throw it away or stir up trouble.
Agree. Good first race for him. I'm sure he has worked SUPER hard on starts this past week. With top 10 starts he is going to be a podium threat every race. He will learn racing against those guys and his strength will increase. I won't be surprised if he wins some motos as the season progresses.

Jett surprised me with his finish. I expected him to be slower based on what I had read about his ankle. I won't be surprised if the racing and training takes a toll though, and at some point in the season he has to step away and let his ankle rest. On the flip side though, I won't be surprised if he adapts and learns to ride with it and starts winning some motos.

Real bummer about Eli. Apparently he injured his neck in that crash and is going to be out for a while:
Following further medical evaluation this week, the four-time 450MX Champion has been diagnosed with a hyperextended anterior longitudinal ligament and partial tear of the left sternocleidomastoid muscle in his neck.

Agree 100% on all of your points.

Tomac needs to hang it up while he's still healthy, and it pains me to say that. But chasing maybe's is gonna make the rest of his life hell if he's not careful.
