Here is a link to SCtrails program and contact information. You can review the SC trails plan. When this is updated next we should show up and write letters to get Jeep trails put in the program. If you look at the agencies /organizations there are no Jeep clubs listed only quad and motor cycle clubs.

From the SC trails plan

Increase Opportunities for Off Highway
Vehicles. Generally, OHVs (all-terrain
vehicles, motorcycles, and 4-wheel
drive vehicles) require a dedicated
trail. To address this challenge, a
portion of the Recreational Trails
Program Funds should be dedicated
to acquiring parcels of land of significance
in those sections of the state
lacking adequate OHV trails to
provide an enjoyable experience for
this trail user type. With the provision
of special trails for OHV’s, access to
trails where they have a negative
impact will be limited. All interests
should work together to achieve new
opportunities.

The All Terrain Vehicle and Off-Road
Motorcycle Clubs in the State organized
SCORE in April, 1992. Currently SCORE
represents seven clubs at the state level.
Their purpose is to open new public trails
on state and federal lands, to canvas large
land owners for use of private land for riding
purposes, to support small clubs with land
use problems, to have legislative input for
future land development planning and registration
programs, to keep members involved
through a regular newsletter, to educate dirt
riders on responsible off-road behavior, to
be sensitive to the needs of our young and
less experienced riders and to work to
improve the public image of all off-road
enthusiasts.

Lake Wylie Wheeler

Man, I wish i had seen this post yesterday or earlier, i'll try to make the next one

X2 on that. Sorry i missed it guys.. I Live in Rock Hill and am moving back to Lake Wylie in 2 months, so technically that is York. So i would love to join the posse. Shoot me a PM whoever is running this with the next meet time and i will do my best to rally behind getting some 4wheeling spots. Take care.

Had a ball...nice to meet some folks and put a name with a face

Darn it, I have to work May 20th.

Hey Flint, thanks for posting up all the info. Not to sure what to do with it yet. I won't be able to make the May,20th. meeting, as I have to work. Very busy @ work, & only two Employees, Including myself. I'll start sending letters, if you think that will be beneficial. Maybe we should start A new thread, on this subject. As far as the cruise in goes, future meets are not York County residents only. If you are interested in four wheel drive off roading, and like to hang out, & talk about it, just stop by. I'm not sure if quad-bike people would quite fit in, but what do I know. This was just the first one, & it turned out to be mostly jeeps. SkyHiK5, showed up in his sweet blazer, & didn't feel out of place one bit! In fact, if anyone of us felt out of place, it was me. What with my (weenie) tires, stock drivetrain, & no suspension lift !!! Hey Webb, do you think there were any problems, with the location? Or more importantly, having our type of vehicles on the lot? Did we buy enough food?

I think we were fine. To be honest, I don't think we gathered to much attention at all, which is probably a good thing. And most important, we all had a good time.
