Ive had my landcruiser for about 3 years now. It has been in various stages from 35s and no lift to a 4 inch lift with 37 in Iroks and various accessories to back at stock height with 31s.
It sat in the last stage for about a year or so while I was deployed and I saved up some money for a build when I got home. When I came home I found out that although it did indeed still run fairly well after sitting for so long that my sunroof drains were clogged and had leaked the whole time (it was stored outside) so it smelled like ass and I had developed some mold on my passenger side carpet. But that is under control now and cleaned right out.
I felt really top heavy when I was on the 4 inch with 37s so this time I decided that I would keep it low and run big rubbers. That is about where I am at now. I have trimmed the front fenders out pretty well (about as much as I think is possible) and will be doing some more cutting on the body shortly in the rear and also taking a bit off of the bumpers for a better approach/departure angle. I am also soon to hopefully be locked front and rear with 5.29s and getting longs. And sliders are coming soon as well (being built by a friend.)
oh yea and Im running j's and 38.5s (pretty worn down but still dammed meaty)
Here it is in various stages from the first lift then back to stock when I got home to where it is now.
This is just what I have so far with much more to come.
^ first lift with 35s
^ first lift with 37s
^ how she sat when I got home
^ the wonderful mold I found
^ drivers side cut
^ passenger side cut
^ mid lift
^ after lift
^ with the new meats
now its time to the heck out of it and get rid of the heep I am daily driving and replace it with an lx or tundra to tow this thing...
hope you guys enjoy what you see so far.
