thanks for the kind words guys been doing this for 21 years and now that ive got pretty good at it i stuggle to find the time and energy to do it .:confused:

i gained three inches in the front .now i can take the lift shackles off.
scored a 14bolt today and some rear cherokee springs pushing the rear back 2 1/2 inches just didnt do it .got some 44 hd hubs coming next week when does it end
 
i have gathered some parts for my 14bolt swap and will be comp cutting my jeep and installing xj springs.i will have some ? for you guys .
 
i started last week trying to get it to where i could get the frame cleaned to start the rear bumper .

i really want to to use the shorter shackle in this next pic
but im not sure.any imput would be great

got my rear bumper fitted and tacked into place also welded the shackle hangers and tacked those . i noticed if i use the short shackle at full droop it will hit the bumper so tommorow i gonna cut some releifs on both side of the shackle hanger and add some angle to the rear bumper .

got some bad news today about my wheels from 4wheel parts .the 17x9 with a 3.5 off space are gonna take 5 weeks to get here from procomp but there still some stuff i can do .
got everything mock up tonight looks like the wheelbase will be around 103 .

gonna try my longer shackles thursday and get the angle finder on it .
 
i see how bad that angle is now. i would get some longer shackles and maybe move them up higher on the rear bumper. just play around with it till it looks good. remember what the old guys at work say " if it looks right it's right".
 
took a little time sat. and move the frt. perches foward to correct the angle in the rear and welded everything solid .now i need some ideas for a upper shockmount because the rearend is so far back now. trying not to outboard them if anybody has an idea would be great .ill post a few more pics later .
 
Fantastic work! I've been threatening to stretch my YJ like this for a while now. You may have said and I missed it, but did you cut the rear inner fenders at all, or did you just cut the sides right up to them? Also, have you thought about what you're going to do for the rear two body mounts? That's the other part that's holding me up...

Its like my freind told me at work once you comp cut your jeep theres no going back.i didnt cut the inner fender i just took out the plastic fender liners and found the pinch weld and pulled some 3/4 tape along the edge on one side cut it and made a template out of cardboard and transfered it to the other side . the rear body mounts are still there but im not sure i will leave them .i cut mine like genright not like the guys on pirates 4x4 who redo there frame rails and have to remove them.i googled compcut wrangler and looked at images .
 
got some work done today had to redo my transfercase crossmember first so i could messure for my frt, driveshaft cut and welded it up and installed in the jeep .next i removed the frt. lift shackles and replaced with the shorter ones .the front was still about an 1 inch higher so i installed the lift shackles on the rear.sits pretty good now .still trying to figure out my rear shock mount but that is next weeks project

i was trying to figure out how i was going to move my top shock mounts back so tonight i got busy and cut the track bar brkt. off along with the brake line holder . i then cut a peice of 2x3 stock to lenght.i was looking thur my treasure box and found some old yj axle plate and this is what i came up with .
