so, how do you convince the guy that thinks his suspension is great, that he is full of it and needs tuning?



There is a lot of that on the east coast because "they" don't know any better...

That's easy, all they have to do is ride in something that IS tuned and they will realize how bad there suspension is.
 
Maybe a simple 4 seat passenger wagon with seats/harnesses etc.. that you can tow people around in. Have some different tuned shocks you can quickly put on, to demonstrate what proper shock tuning.

I'm not the one talking about doing this but IMO that's too much money to do. That money in shocks and such for a "wagon" could pay for the spring swap program or many many many other things.

David, I am in for a little tuning 101. I have some shock experience, but as we go faster i am always wanting to learn more. keep us updated on things as you decide your business plan.

Lets get this rolling

I'm pretty fired up about it after this weekend and seeing all of the log wagons race and bounce around and I don't want to wait 6 months to a year to accumulate all of my inventory....

Stubborn people learn things the hard way, if they don't want it I'm not going to push it too hard or start prying at them....

Yeah when the time comes we will have to set a date and a place.... but definably keep up with this thread
 
Rock on David. I'm excited bout getting to GMP and working on this together on my buggy. Was great to meet ya at the flats, we'll see ya next week.
Building a few more rigs for friends this summer, I'm sure we will need this service on those as well. Count us in.

for all those interested; David came to GMP to get a grip on my ori's a cpl weeks back. i was very impressed by his knowledge/experience. only took an hour or so to get my crawler running and handling faster speeds; even though its not a racer. even those who only have trail rigs and don't race would certainly benefit from a tuning session or two. I feel no one would be dissapointed by having him take some time with your rigs; especially those that are humble about their limited knowledge of shock tuning; let the pro do his job! he can save you numerous headaches and hours of charging/recharging/spring changes/oil levels, etc etc. and most importantly, in the end the initial cost of a tuning session would save you money by reducing the chance of extra springs/oils/nitrogen/etc.

Very cool. If you hit that $100 - $200 price range I know I would definitely be in for a session. I like the "Check Mate" company name too.
