1959 ford f 100 rat

Sold my 62 Chevy awhile back. So here is the next build. I'm really not much of a ford guy but as I was driving to look at a 59 apache ( which was a pile of rust) I saw this truck in a dudes back yard. He happen to be out mowing his grass. I asked if it was for sale and sure enough it was. The fact that it was a solid truck sold me, and off we went with the next product.

47 rh auto trans
Ford 9"
Four linked bagged rear
Jag. Front suspension bagged

Those last couple pics are the stage its at right now. I sanded down the original paint with some 320 and waxed it.

That looks awesome...that body style almost eclipses the 73-79 ford trucks as my favorite. If you need a truck to rob body parts from I know where there's a solid 59 F100 4x4 on Bridge Rd heading toward Locust. I woulda bought it had it been a 250.

I really wish I had your drive when it comes to projects. I've had the same CJ in my garage for the past 4 years and I'm just finally getting around to getting it close to being on the road. Then it is on to the body work. I'm watching this thread for updates.

Anything with a Cummins in it is just sweet. Plus old school body lines, laying frame, and original paint....shooooot. That could even be a nice sleeper. It looks very tame and I bet nobody would expect it to lay down, haul ass, and puff a little smoke all at the same time!
