4.0L 4x4 Shortbed
This was a California truck and is completely solid and has ZERO rust.
I have done a tremendous amount of work to this truck and I’ll do my best to list it all.
Ice cold AC and hot heat.
Extremely capable offroad rig that will catch EVERYONES attention! Lost interest before I finished it due to cost and losing time to enjoy it.
183,xxx miles.
Exterior/mechanical:
-Complete Rusty’s off-road longarm lift kit, put spacers in the front to level it with the back, ended up being ~8.5” lift. All new springs, shocks, extended stainless braided brake lines, etc.
-Speedometer gear has been changed to show the true speed.
-(5) 17” Method Racing wheels with 33” Falken M/T tires, including a true identical spare that is in the bed of the truck.
-New windshield
-New front brakes/calipers
-Put $6,500 into the axles. Eaton electric lockers front and rear, switches are located on the dash (shown in pictures). Dana 44 rear. Dana 30 High pinion front that was completely built, (chromoly axles, FULLY trussed.)
-CavFab 1” solid tube steering components
-Steering box brace that attaches to frame on both sides of the truck.
-Engine re-sealed, new valve cover gasket, new rear main seal, has zero oil on the oil pan.
-Quick release sway bar end links for easy disconnect at trails.
Interior:
-New carpet.
-New headliner and visors.
-New door seals.
-Floor pans completely solid, added a coating of por-15 for future protection.
-Kilzmat sound dampener on the entire floor before installing carpet.
I’m sure I’m forgetting some things, but I think I hit the main stuff.
The bad:
It is a salvage title vehicle, I don’t know any details about out the wreck as it was a long time before I acquired it. It didn’t bother me because it’s a hard to find, very solid 30+ year old truck.
-Some spots of paint are peeling on the roof and hood. The rest of the paint seems to be in solid shape.
I’ve got ~$22,000 put into it, my asking price is $17,500.
I also have the original matching camper shell (shown in pictures) that I will add for $500 over the agreed upon price for the truck.
