2006 F250 auto theft prevention

It's literally the most stolen/broken into truck in the US according to insurance claims.
 
My 2004 f350 was broken into twice... both times in Charlotte.

They jammed a screwdriver into the passenger side lock and popped the door open. Its easy and they do it all the time.

I'd suggest to just get out of town if you can.
 
Also, to put a rear handle up front, do I just need the handle itself or a rear handle and locking mechanism? Will my keypad still work on the drivers door? I'm thinking about doing this, a Viper alarm, and tinting my windows.

I think so. I want to put a key one back on mine. Hoping the cylinder is right behind it. Keypad works fine on mine.
 
If your truck is getting ransacked on campus I imagine lot's of other students/faculty vehicles are too. They should beef up security, maybe getting others and yourself to talk to the admin. could make that happen.
 
Cop didn't seem to give a damn when he arrived. Haven't got a phone call nor email from the police regarding anything, other than the case file.
 
Well dang...maybe he was just pissed because it's been a while since he was able to shoot an innocent dog.

Cop actually showed up? When I went to UNCC, my Jeep got broken into at an off-campus apartment and they wouldn't even send anyone. They took a report over the phone and that was it.

Yea, they been doing that for several years. Depending on the amount of property damage [I think], they just take a phone report.
