Well I have been planning this build for a few months and I have kept it a secret until now. But after several months of planning and saving money it is now all together and running.

Below are some pictures of the build.

hahah, i like the thread, but let me be the first to say that when i saw hurricane buildup, i was expecting 24 volt batteries, winch motors, and rubber tires......

Meh...IFS...never work in the real world!! :)

Slap some portals or 2.5 tons under there and you might be able to handle Uwharrie!

Have one of these for my boys and they love it. I was very surprised by the way this thing would go through the woods. I have had to fix the steering once already it had some major toe out.:driver:

Oh and the batteries were about 1/2 dead. He's actually flipped it up on it's back end before. Gotta be careful not to point it uphill with a full charge. Not to mention it's even counter weighted with the 2 batteries under the hood, not under the seat. And Lil' Man drives it like he stole it!

my sons got the green hurricane for christmas. they love it. only thing is the batteries don't last long. will be doing some mods in the future.

stop by a Batteries Plus store and look for something with more Amps. You can cut and splice connections as needed. but the Amps will give you the longevity. Volts will give you Wheelies! :D

Kevins a slacker!

How else can you explain the lack of wheelbase stretch? That'd keep the frontend down when the throttle is matted!

And those hard tires are for Barbie Jeeps! :shaking:

He's got Screws in the rear tires for traction. Much more and you'll strip the plastic gears out.

He's got 3 other power wheels, one's getting the Rubber Lawn mower wheels, another is getting 36V I believe.
Oh and keeping the front end down is lame. :flipoff2:

i did 36V on one, it was sweet until the connection started to co bad and sparked and eroded part of the battery terminal.
230lbs over the rear wheels and they would spin on launch!

Oh, and for the record...

Yes I read the manual. not to say I could not do it with out. RTFM

unlike my jeeps and alot of people rigs on this board this one is done.:flipoff2:

I will do some upgrades later when Shawn is older. He turns 3 on Wednesday and will be getting it this saturday.

I think I am going to have to put a spacer on the pedal be cause I do not think he can reach it.
