4-wheel parts stinks

Agreed but not expected.. think of the volume of customers that call them daily and the stock they have to memorize. I never heard about kyle till today, but I think what makes kyle stand out is he is planing on having this job (or a job like it) for a while, thus going out of his way to call the company and find out personally (whether it be you stuff, or his).
Even then when you rely on a middle man the information can get mixed up, or new Q's arrive you need answered. Still the best bet to call the manufacture first, then double up with the sales rep.

I pretty much do the same job, and I don't expect anyone to memorize all these product lines, but in the same instance that it should've thrown a red flag in the customers mind, it should've in the salespersos as well.

from what I've read, I can understand his frustrations. But I think his wrath is misdirected. If you're new to this game (4x4 build) you don't know about how nothing ever seems to match up or go right. It's the nature of the beast.

As soon as you understand that this shit is gonna happen, the more sympathy you'll get. don't go flaming someone or some company until you no for certain it is their fault and theirs alone.

you have to exspect the unexspected! Kyle is the shit! they make it right what ever it takes even comming down to help in the buildup of many projects and questions. Good luck getting that somewhere else!

what 2 years are you talking about?

Your original post was a complaint about an ARB. Your invoice for that ARB is dated almost 2 years ago - and thank goodness for employee notes, cause the notes state that the 'customer prodived part numbers'. If its a little foggy, I can post the invoice, even the ones for the hat and the sticker.

Also, sorry you had a bad experience. The 1-800 number is what it is, its a receptionist with enough knowledge of the game to get the job. Thats why there are local stores, and coincidentally one in your hometown state. My advise, shop local.

I'm dealing with 4 Wheel Parts - Raleigh today on an axle shaft. They are bending over backwards to ensure proper part numbers to match what I'm looking for! So while the transaction is not complete, thus far they have been extremely helpful, courteous, and informative related to my specific issue.
I haven't even been to the local shop but heard about it from friends. Word of mouth reputation is a powerful thing and right now I am in favor of their business and work ethic. Great job guys!!

If you nibble on his ear and pull his hair you can get a big discount.

Makes a person wonder what YOU had to do to get your job then.. :flipoff2:

Let me say one last thing. I did not mean to include the personnel at the shop in charlotte (don't know Raleigh). Had I gone to them I may have gotten the correct answer, who knows. The dealings I have had with them personally have been good. I accidentally called the 4wd parts catalog and the 4wd hardware catalog sales men and they led me wrong. Shit happens, I know this, but when you push a sale on a customer when you don't have knowledgeable employees you cause problems. All I'm saying is stand up or tell me you don't know. Had they said they don't know, that would be one thing. Telling me yes it will work when you have no idea is bs.

Alot less people, thus alot less excuses for all those people if you stay with the small independent shops. Alot of times you get some real great knowledge to.

4 wheel parts is way over priced.... that all i have to say about that ::in Forest gump voice::

So wait, did you call 4 wheel parts, or 4WD Hardware for your info.
By your own words, it sounds like you aren't even bashing the right company.:shaking:

I use 4wheel part in charlotte for a decent amount of stuff (mostly tires) and never have a problem. Kyle....well i just try not to deal with him.:flipoff2:

THANK YOU 4 WHEEL PARTS

I have got a couple things from 4WP. The last item I got had a mix up and back order. I canceled the part, it still got shipped. I was mad as hell until I called them, and they were so great on the phone I was happy  when I got off….BUT wait it gets better….UPS came to get the part, and my wife gave them the wrong part. UGH!!! I called 4WP and again they were great. Told me not to worry they would ship it back when they got it and to just return the other part for my refund. :driver: What more can I ask for from a company? I cannot wait to order something else from them. And I must say they will be my first stop when looking for parts.

TARHEEL 4X4 RON OR STEVE!!!!!!!

yeah i feel ya man they are never helpful to me and they are to high on there prices i think

yeah, but they'll meet your price on things. i got a set of sun performance tire deflators for 12.99 instead of 18.99( i think was the in store price) because thats what the 4wd hardware magazine had them listed as that they gave to me when i was at the store.

btw, keep those things somewhere because they'll unscrew apart and get a bright color like the red or blue ones instead of the silver ones so you can see them if you drop them on the beach on accident(they screw into each other onto a keychain thing for those who don't know).. . i've lost 2 out of the 4 because they came apart and fell on the ground and i didn't notice until later so i keep them in my glove box.

i'll stop babbling:huggy:
