Here are some snapshots of the chop-top I recently fabbed up for a 4Runner.

It's made to be taken apart in panels for easy removal/storage.

I did this last Sat...
and found some nice puddles in the back.
Profanity ensued.
Glad I did it though!

There were some places where I'd missed putting waetherstripping on the inside of the corners.

I've re-sealed them... the new test comes this weekend....
And ifi t passes the "hose test" - then it's off to the ULTIMATE test at the drive-through car wash!
 
whow as much time as it took to do that the owner will probally have to refinance the 4runner to pay the bill

Bwahahaha.
Lucky for him, I'm a nice guy and work cheap when it's for my own learning.
I wanted to figure out how to do it for myself anyhow.
I'm debating the cost/feasibility of doing it again by request...

Most of it actually went pretty quickly, just messy.
It's those damn aluminum channels... bending and bolting them... that took darn near forever.
 
Looks cool that was a heck of an idea.
