I ordered a trailer hitch with expedited shipping and the manufacturer sat on the order, now it will not arrive in time. So I’m looking locally, but haven’t had any luck. I have to have this by this evening, so I thought I would see if anyone was a better search ninja than I am.

I don’t care which brand, needs to be One of these:
Curt 13116
Draw Tite 75950
Reese 44758

It’s for my wife’s cayenne. I believe a Touareg one works as well. I’ll instantly Venmo or PayPal $50 if someone finds one in stock locally.

Have you tried the local Porsche and VW dealers? I'd call for $50 but I don't know what year :D

The Porsche one is essentially the exact same as the Curt one. Curt is $200, Porsche is $1250.

It’s a unique fit with the way the plastic bumper and mount work together, so the universal one is not an option.

It’s a 2016. The Porsche one is in stock, but I’m not in a $1000 of a pinch. The vendor admitted their error in my original order and is refunding me the cash. So the $50 I paid in expedited shipping can go to someone local. I’ve tried 4WP, Napa, Advance, Tractor Supply and Autozone without any luck so far.

Call Jason at Xtreme Truck and Trailer Specialties in Mooresville.

Thanks for the lead! I spoke with Jason, super nice guy. He can get one by next week, but doesn’t have anything in stock. However he mentioned reaching out to his rep to see what he may about availability.

What about uhaul places that install hitches?

Or Volkswagen dealership? Looks like it's the same hitch for a Touraeg.

Correct, same as a Touareg. Per your suggestion, I reached out to Keffer Volkswagen and they can get me the same one as the Porsche OEM one for $750 by tomorrow. So that’s already a big savings over Porsche. But again, while it would be super nice to have the OEM, the aftermarket should be just fine at $200. If there’s not one in stock, then it’s certainly not the end of the world, just an inconvenience for my trip tomorrow.

Long shot but this guy maybe, they mostly work on VW stuff.

Drago @ 980-210-6033 probably will have to leave a message.

Another long shot, but U-Haul sells hitches. Found this on their website when searching 2016 Porsche Cayenne:

Square Tube 2 inch Rec. (Powder Coat)
  • Class 3 hitch
  • Max weight: 7,500 lbs.
  • Manufacturer Part Number: 13116
  • Part number: 75240
Don't know if they'll have one in stock, but worth a phone call.

Cueing pics of thrown-together janky hitches in 3...2...1...

That’s the part. I haven’t called, Uhaul yet. I can get one into mooresville by 2pm or so tomorrow, so trying to decide if I take the car apart tonight (it’s an invasive install), gamble it arrives early, then try and beat the clock and get it on.

Worst case I guess is an hour or two of labor and a ghetto Cayenne until next week.

The real problem here is your car is too nice.

Call enterprise commercial and rent a pickup. Less stress than trying to run around to find a hitch.

It’s an 8 hour round trip with my family and my wife’s car get 3x better gas mileage than mine.

Thanks for all of the suggestions! I reached out to all of them, nearly had one work out. Actually it would have worked if I were leaving in the afternoon instead of noon.

What I should have done was negotiated it in when I bought it, but I didn’t realize it was without. And it was cheaper than her wrangler coincidentally. There are steals to be had in the used car market right now.

I owned a Porsche once......I was definitely not cool enough to keep it.
The membership fees are what kept me from it (following Rich's experience with his...yeah I'm not worthy)
