7th Annual Full Size Jeep 'East Coast Invasion'

Group camp is booked! It's on like Donkey Kong!!

7th Annual ECI - June 11th-14th 2009
Uwharrie National Forest - Troy, NC
Hosted by Carolina Full Size Jeep Club

Like previous years that the CFSJC has hosted the event, camping is FREE (Thurs. - Fri. - Sat.)! We return to the Badin Lake Group Camp for '09.
What do I need to bring?: Your FSJ, some camping gear or camper, and $5 a day for trail passes. A Season Pass is $30. These are National Forest Service Fees, and only required if your taking a vehicle on the trails. Most of us just buy them at "The Outpost", a gas station near the entrance to URE. If your FSJ aint runnin', bring what you can.
*Primitive (trail or roadside, no convenient facilities) camping is allowed in the forest for free as well. Many folks camp trailside throughout the year.
How difficult are the trails?: The trails at URE are mild to tough, nothing too wild, but there is a challenge for all rigs and driver skill. We take stock FSJs over most of the trails out there. Some of the harder trails have by-passes.

THERE IS A NO ALCOHOL POLICY IN THE NATIONAL FOREST, INCLUDING THE CAMPGROUND. This will be strictly enforced. If you are seen with alcohol you will be asked to put it away or leave the campground.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
Last year there were some issues with drinking that will not be tolerated again.
Drinking and driving on the trails is the same as drinking and driving on NC roads. The new LEO is a strict rule follower with a 0 tolerance policy. He WILL arrest you if found drinking and driving anywhere in the forest. He has the right to search vehicles, coolers and campsites. Please keep in mind that as an attendee you represent a sport that is already in danger, and the FSJ community.
It's a small sacrifice for a great weekend of wheeling and comraderie.

There will be a raffle again this year. We'll have more info on that as the date draws closer.
Previous years we have had donations from the likes of...
TT's Fabworks
BJ's Off-Road
Jake's FSJ Junkyard
Warn
B.F. Goodrich
4Wheel Parts (Raliegh)
...just to name a few

New Years BUMP...only 6 months to go!

Just wondering, FSJ is usually a waggy, Full size Cherokee, or a J truck, what about a CJ that is bigger than most of the mentioned?

"What is a Full Size Jeep?
An "FSJ" is any vehicle produced in North America, carrying the "Jeep" nameplate, with 2 or 4drs, in 2 or 4wd, whose wheelbase does not exceed 132", nor is less than 109", and whose tread width is no more than 63" nor less than 57". This definition is known to include the following models:
Cherokee: 1974-1983
Wagoneer: 1963-1983
Grand Wagoneer: 1984-1991
Gladiator and J-series pickup: 1963-1987
M-715 Military versions and its derivatives
The following vehicles, while not technically Full Size Jeeps, are welcomed here, as they are the honored forebearers of our beloved beasts of burden:
1947-1965 Jeep All Steel Wagon
1947-1965 Jeep Pickup (not Gladiator)
Forward Control Trucks (FC-150/FC-170) - although the FC-150 was based on the CJ chassis"

Simply put, we invite anyone who is down with having good clean fun and enjoys wheelin' and talking Jeeps. Chip, you and Leslie are more than welcome to come.

+1.. What Earl said.. you don't even have to have a Jeep.

All i need is to stretch my wheelbase an inch or two more, and my ZJ is in the FSJ category!
[note to self] measure wheelbase tomorrow, and find a way for it to grow to 109"+

Hmm well I make it in under 132" wheelbase, but I am a "little" wider @ 90"

That last sentence saved me!
Thanks

We'll have a great time. It'll be great to meet some MORE new attendees.

I should make this. Is a 48 willy's ok? stretched & on ton's

of course it is...most of the guys will be drooling over it anyway

Cool, I'll mark my calender

Dylan,
it's not your XJ that isn't welcome...

I will get some pics posted next week. My J10 is out at a buddies house. It had a bad motor when i got it last week. We are droppin in a different one along with replacing the wheel studs. I picked up new wheel and tires but the studs were to short to allow for the aliminum wheels. I'm lookin forward to the trip. I am also bringin my brother and my uncle, both who have J10s.
