Which location would you prefer?

Alright, it has been suggested that the next event be at a new location, greensboro seems to be the most common choice.
Anyone have any suggestions for a location in Greensboro?
Lets plan for August 21, 2010 and lets figure out a location by the 7th, as to allow two weeks of notice for everyone.
I can think of a few places...
Hooters on Highpoint Rd
Hams on Highpoint Rd or Battleground
Open to ideas, post them here and we can get this going as soon as possible, once locations are suggested I will add a Poll.
 
ok the truck is almost back in one peice now.....just gotta bolt the axle in and burn up the road...so i will definitely be at this meet...

Really? Bah. I try to post dates that arent doing anything, thats why I post so far ahead.

Things are still up in the air, date is open to discussion, so is location, make some suggestions folks.
 
i dont know greensboro....truck is now evenly geared btw....we could do something in highpoint..pretty much ne where on main street,hams, carolina diner, endless options..cops r thick tho..

blue lights no bueno.....

like i said i would imput on spots in g boro but idk g boro so i really dont k now what to say...lol

deffini9tyly need to keep it goin tho, if all else fails we can stay at hams....
 
I'm definitely down for this one. I have about 6 people that I know will come. I vote greensboro Hams. Decent parking lot, can't thing of what's beside it but I think they are closed on saturday so we might could park there. Might can drive my rig too, got it up for sale so that will be good. You can count me in and at least 4 with me. I got a good "beer in the radiator" story for ya XJ! Lol

Battleground Hams by the Rush/Brassfield?
Highpoint Rd Hams by the Mall/Jack Astors/etc...

And Alex, don't worry, worst case scenario Ill ride with ya in the Smurf, won't get lost.
 
high point rd hams, close to the highway and real easy to get to. although i hate Hooters food, im open for that too. i can eat before i come.
 
Im not particular, I like the view at hooters, but I am not terribly fond of the food either. Im up for whatever really.

Everyone alright with Highpoint Rd Hams? It was the original meeting place for the meet in greensboro, but I had decided Kvegas was a good halfway point and we did have a 2 decent meets. Posting a Poll now.
 
I'll have my build back next Tuesday so hopefully I can get the disc brake set up on it & lighting wired up in time for this. If not I'll just drive my other Jeep then hit Inferno up & Gold Club (they gotta good breakfast) later.
 
Sounds like a good night, I try to party with friends on saturdays, so Ill pass on Inferno, but breakfast sounds great haha

I would love to see the Kraken, been watching the build thread and Im just blown away. Better watch out for low bridges, wonder if hams would let ya drive up the side of the building haha.

I'm not fan of Hooters food either but the view :D We really need a Bikini's sports grill in the triad area. If you guys are ever down in Charlotte check it out.

I should be there the 21st where ever it is at.
 
Seems the vote is still pulling for kernersville

Anyone hear anything out of Campbell since last time? Would be interested to see if he would still consider bringing out the RTI or if he has lost interest in the meet.
 
thats gonna suck if this thing ends up in K-ville again, im gonna feel pretty lame coming to a 4x4 meet in a Nissan 240 lol.
 
Lol, we came to the first one in a supercharged mustang, so I feel your pain. I have no clue what to expect though, may PM campbell sometime soon to see if he is still interested.
 
oh well, i havent been able to hit the trail in a while so i need to at least swap some good storys with some cool people. and get some ideas for my new build.
 
Hit some local trails last night for the first time wheeling since April, was definately must needed, but I gotta tell you I don't miss staying out til 4 am, spending most of that time trying to determine how to get a vehicle out of an area safely. XJ lead, chained to a YJ, chained to a Trooper with a crapped out front axle and no alternator belt (Deadweight) dragged the trooper out of the trails (probably atleast a mile) and then the XJ dragged the trooper to the nearest gas station.

Im open to either location, but I also feel that maybe the greensboro location would be a good change of pace, potential for different folks. I am sure some of the kernersville folks wouldn't mind driving a bit further, I believe its only maybe 15 minutes drive from Kernersville Hams.
 
yeah most of my trips are well organized so i rarley get into those situations. but last week i had quite an incedent! had to use your "beer in the radiator trick". im not gonna screw up the thread so ill tell you about it at the meet. quite funny!
but yeah i have a lot of friends that arent members on here that are interested in coming. i think if the meet is in G-boro it will be pretty good. probably get some new people this time.
