I ain't talking about THAT dubya. I'm talking about my HOKIES coming away with the dubya last nite in Raleigh.

Yeah, yeah... it's too early to be talking about national title hopes, but who are ya looking out for this year? I'm thinking the Trojans will be going for the threepeat.
 
:vt: Go Hokies! We were there, in our usual season ticket seats at Carter Finley. We have degrees from Tech, so they let us get away with it... just barely. ;)
 
wait till they play a team that doesnt give the game to them on a platter :mad:

And yeah someday they'll have to play a REAL team like Wake Forest.
Hahaha just kidding we all know Wake has invested 90% of their effort in basketball.

but once again I like to see duke lose so thats good w/ me.
 
Duke and Wake are both basketball schools. It's been that way for a long time and I doubt it will change.

Duke and Wake are both basketball schools. It's been that way for a long time and I doubt it will change.

This thread is about FOOTBALL. No need, whatsoever, to bring any politics into it.
 
Heck...
We beat 'em (dook) in basketball, too.

Duke plays us in football for the same reasons we play THEM in basketball. Your program gets better in proportion to your competition. That and we're all ACC buddies now.


I think the Hokies will be as good as Marcus is this year. If he steps up and takes some leadership, we're looking at a really good season. But if all the talk gets to his head, it won't be good. Stay focused, MV.
 
Ah yes, when VT joined the ACC it was just enough too many teams and threw off the old schedule. Thanks a bunch! hee hee
Maybe THAT's why Wake has been faltering so much these last years... yeah, that's it...

Nah... Wake's faltering b/c like many of the other NC schools they've dumped all their recruiting efforts into basketball and ignored football. Give 'em a couple years.

And what's wrong with a football schedule that adds a conference championship game at the end?
