There is a lot of polarization across our nation right now. November is a difficult time.
Coworkers that refuse to speak to one another, family fights at the dinner table.

Can we please come together and resolve this difficult question of whether A Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie ir a Halloween flick?

Considering that they now sell Christmas decorations before Halloween, does it really matter?

On the other thing that folks seem to argue about lately, I think we'll figure out in six months that it doesn't really change much of how we live our daily lives either...

Die Hard is the best Christmas movie.

I guess it’s the time of year where I do my best Ebenezer Scrooge in every Christmas thread and say I hate what it’s become. Mainly regarding how expansive and commercial it is now.

Edit...and to be fair, my wife is the complete opposite of me. It could be June and she’ll say ‘look they have lights up, you should put ours up’...hunny, that’s a flood light.

I’ve never seen Die Hard, or Nightmare before Christmas. Maybe I’ll change that this year.

I really don’t know how I have not seen them.
I could see Nightmare but Die Hard!?

Oh and I agree with the sentiment that it's a Christmas movie that can be watched for three months.

Covid was bad enough, Still is! Then throw in the election battle, o Wow. Trying to get my Jeep running, working & plenty of interruptions, who needs anymore stress? Then last Monday morning, my big screen tv craps out. Wait, the Elections are Tuesday, & 3 Races this past weekend, for Championships! What am I going to do? Thankfully, I got a warranty claim started on the tv, but No idea when it will get fixed. So, after work, I run to Best Buy, to pick up a Spare TV. I won't even bother with That story, just know I'll never shop at Best Sucker, anymore! I was Well on my way of blowing a fuse or having a stroke. Thankfully, Most of my problems have at least backed off, to a manageable state.

Uh did you read the op? This thread is about movies o_O

That's un-American, you sure you're not a Russian sleeper agent?
Ok, I think we need to send in an NC4x4 rapid reaction team. We'll secure his house and observe him watch both movies. If he doesn't respond to the awesomeness of both classics, he'll be terminated (from the boards of course, we'll see about anything else)...

Whoa! WTH does any of that have to do with the thread??

ADHD?
I cant sit and watch a tv for 3 hours. Unless football. Not intentional anything else I just follow asleep. I can read for hours. But sitting and staring at the tv. I cant engage my brain no matter how I try.

My grandmother would tell a story that even as a young child she took me to a movie theater and I'd "go to the bathroom" and watch the teens play video games for an hour instead of the movie.

Dont know just a weird quirk of mine.
