About knocked myself out today..

Well I decided that since I had the awning for my camper why not put it on..well maybe I should have thought more and not rushed this :)

So I got all the parts out and everything measured and then I had to slide the awning into a aluminum sleeve and then attach alum to camper :)

Well awning was fighting me entire time trying to get it into sleeve.. and here is where the fun starts.. I had my dad stand on trailer and hold both upright while I grabbed the bottom of awning with all my weight and muscle and pulled towards the ground.. well needless to say I slipped and my chin connected to corner of metal fender on camper..

WOW it got me good.. I had to stop and sit down and relax for a second.. then went inside to find blood on chin (CRAP) I have split my chin open 3 times in same spot over the years (can you say scar tissue).

Good news is no stiches but my entire jaw is killing me.. oh well looks like I will be growing a nice goatee for a week or so :)

Well, the awning looks good. That is a nice set up you have there.
 
i knocked myself out at work one time a few years ago. i was walking along a catwalk and slipped. i made a grab for the rail but missed it and fell between it and the walkway and landed on a piece of metal that had a half of a cinder block on the other end. my 200lbs catapulted the half-block and it landed squarely on the back of my head. i knocked me out for a second or two and when i came too my motor skills were severely weakened. i cant remember how many stitches i had to get for that one.

I have tried telling stories but everybody knows my wife just beats me lol
Glad your OK at least it was not a head shot

Ken, I was thinking along that same line this morning when I first read your post. I almost posted it, but thought I would be nice today. :lol:
