So, one of my Fox air shock shrader (Schroeder, whatever) valves is bent and won't take nitrogen.
Fox, Poly Performance, etc has them available. But...does anyone know if a more common application for them? Something where I can call up a random local supply house and grab one?
I am going to call my local hose shop in the am.
It's 1/4 or 5/16 NPT on one end and a typical air valve on the other.
Gracias amigos.

Looks like 1/8"NPT, but maybe 1/4. 1/8NPT measures a hair over 3/8" (.405"), and 1/4NPT is a little over 1/2" (.540")diameter. Just measure the diameter. McMaster will almost certainly have what you need. And it typically ships from ATL and arrives next day.

5/16 ORB

What he said but it's probably 7/16-20 #4 sae orb. I've got a lot of plugs and orb to jic but not Schrader. I googled it this weekend and only thing close I could find was for bike shocks.

You could put these two together if you had to.

You're correct. I just checked it with a caliper and thread gauge. 7/16 x 20.

This is why I like this forum. We may be a bunch of dumbasses and smartasses, but when it matters, we are pretty damn useful.

Yup.
Local hose shop said they either have the fitting I need or they can sell me an adapter. Regardless, headed there at lunch to grab a few of them.

I'd avoid an adapter for that application, even if it means waiting a few days. Or at least avoid it as a permanent solution.

Taking bets on how long this temporary fix actually stays on the truck 🤣

There are people around here who would do something like that, but I'm not naming names. I guess if you need to get your air shocks Fuller you do what you gotta do.

I'm digging on McMaster-Carr like you texted. I'm not seeing them in a one piece design.
Send me a part number and I'll put food into you in a non-romantic manner.
I dug around on there and couldn't find anything that matched either. A little disappointing, as they have darn near everything.

Can you show a pic of both ends please?
I would call that a Tank Valve. Buy them all the time for our pressurized air jacket tanks. FNPT > MNPT > NPT is the keywords we utilize frequently in that area. The oring is what throws me for a loop tho

It's an ORB fitting, not NPT.
Straight treads.
