Another fun thread

2004 Ram SRT-10, 6-speed manual, 8.3L V10 with 150 shot. Hurt a lot of mustang owners feelings with this.

Nowhere near in the same power bracket...but since you brought up Mustang, it triggered a memory. The first brand new, 0 mile vehicle I ever bought was a 2011 V6 Mustang. At the time, that 3.7 had 305hp, which was as much or more power than most v8's were putting down for the previous 35 years, I think the 2010 Mustang GT was only at 310. It was always fun fishing with that car, playing up the fact it was a V6 that got 31mpg's.

1992 Pontiac Firebird - it was a mostly stock 305 TBI car, but was in amazing shape and was one of my childhood dream cars.
1976 Pontiac Trans Am - it was a project, but I'm a diehard 2nd gen TA guy and this one was my favorite.

:shaking: the fox body 5.0 put down a mind shattering 225hp

That and the 300 will forever better than anything current

@Andy J. You're forever surprising me

I would like to have most of my dirt bikes back considering how prices have gone absolutely NUTS on them. It would be cool to have them clean and on stands in a garage, but still ride them occasionally.

These are the ones I would most want back:
- 87 Kawasaki KX80 (my first MX bike)
- 85 Yamaha IT 200 (great woods bike)
- 86 Honda CR250
- 89 Honda CR250
- 93 Honda CR250
- 97 Honda CR250
- 99 Honda CR250

68 Chevy Nova. Two door post with factory 327-350 hp, 4 speed, 12 bolt posi 4.56 geared rear. It was a hoss in it's day.
70 Chevy z/28 LT1, 4 speed, 4.10 geared 12 bolt. Not as fast as the nova but the chicks loved it.
Still got my gold cup purchased in the late 70s. What a straight shooter.

It was my dad's car. The one he drove in high school and met my mom in. He gave it to me on my 16th birthday and my stupid ass 19 yo self sold it cause I was a broke teenager and some dude flashes 6k in my face and I sent it down the road. Regretted it ever since.

Well, after a strange turn of events, after posting this the guy I sold my 92 to emailed me to ask me if I wanted to buy it back. So yeah, now I only regret selling my 76......

So, my biggest regret isn't one of the many we've sold throughout the years (even though we've had some really good ones). It's the one we never went & got: 1971 GMC Jimmy that belonged to my grandpa. I absolutely loved it & camped in that beauty more times than I can count.

When my papa passed away in 2007 my aunt took it upon herself to take the title & declare it hers. So, my beloved Jimmy sat outside on the farm in Wisconsin for years. After letting it sit & rust, she messaged me to come & get it, I could have it. At this point @Mulishajoe & my dad agreed it was too far gone. 😭

A couple of years ago my aunt found herself with too much money & paid to have it restored. Needless to say, I'll never get my truck.

'99 6.0 TJ buggy. Tons, 4l80, 205, coilovers, 42s. Street driven.
Sold to finance college courses and welding school. Ended up hating college after the second semester but loved welding school. Building this rig alone, after-hours in my backyard took me 3.5 years and put me over $10k in debt. After 6 months of driving it I was faced with having to either switch to a higher paying job and abandoning school, or sell it and breath some fresh debt-free air again. Once I start something, I finish it come hell or high water. Selling it ended up being a rewarding decision. It was this Jeep buggy that landed me a job where I work now. My boss spent 10 minutes walking around gawking at it and offered me a job on the spot before he even knew my name. I took him up on his offer a few years later. I didn't walk up wearing business casual handing over a resume. I pulled up in it.

The 4.3 did have specific pistons and a few other internals, I think. Obviously the small single turbo and water/air intercooler were key to power gains. Supposedly way underrated at 280hp. The AWD made it something special, imo. Launching one at 10psi with good tires produced no wheelspin, no drama, no noise, just silent and violent. As the marketing ad said: "0-60 in 4.3 seconds. In the rain."

Notoriously unreliable transmission and electronics. Never had any reliability issues with mine thank goodness. Unfortunately I paid a lot for a clean one w/ 60k several years ago and sold it for pennies after not driving it very much. My personal trend to buy high and sell low continues haha...
I belive the blocks were different but I can't remember for sure. Buddy has one of those and the Cyclone or whatever the blazer version is called
