Just curious how things like recovery and pain go. I see there is no scalpel operations that only take 20 min and 2 day recovery but I would like to hear some horror stories.
 
No bad story for me either ...few days to get over it ...gtg...ice is your friend ....and dig out a jock strap...

Whatever you do, schedule it for a HOT MONTH!!!

Mine didn't go BAD, per say, but it didn't go extremely well either. Mainly because it was 7 degrees outside in February the day after a huge ice storm when I had mine done so my junk was like a tampon: Uptight, white and outta sight

Doc had to make 2 incisions instead of one because I wasn't dangling. And they forgot to give me any meds to take home to start popping a few hours prior, so I was wired up like a crackhead on speed. (you're supposed to be pretty chill and somewhat sedated when you arrive....or were back then)

He started cutting and I pulled back in the seat away from him....he said "you felt that?" I proceeded to insult his heritage (what?!?! he's slicing my nutsack!!)

He hit me with some more numbing and waited another 10 min....same thing. This time I threw in some trashtalk about his momma.

He hit me again with local and waited. 3rd time I still felt a little sting...he said I shouldn't feel ANYTHING and hit me again with local....telling me I've now passed the "double what I've ever used on anyone before" Marker. Didn't care. Needed more.

FINALLY got to where he could go to town without pain. Saw some smoke....felt some tugging during the stitching, but otherwise it wasn't anything special. Pretty sure if I had the meds I was supposed too AND it'd not been North Pole cold....it woulda been easy peasy

Frozen peas for 2 days and back to work.

The recovery was fine, relatively no pain, just discomfort. The procedure itself hurt like a motherfucker. It literally felt like my balls were being crushed while he was doing it. I almost wonder if the numbing drugs wore off or something. The pain wasnt from the incision or whatever, it was just him having to keep a hold on each ball while he made sure to cut the correct tube from each. I know my terminology is not accurate but then again I dont cut on balls for a living, lol. The recovery time for me was 2 days. I had it done on a Friday morning, then Sunday morning I was replacing the deck on my house. The first time you bust a nut after the surgery its a little uncomfortable, but nothing that will make you scream or anything.
 
No issues here, after the procedure go home and just sit and relax for 2 or 3 days. Doc said 99% of the time when someone has an issue it's because they thought they felt fine (because of the drugs) and would go mow the yard or play catch with the kids. Just lay and relax and you'll be fine.
 
No issues with mine either. The doc I used only does them on Friday. Rest all weekend. Fine for work Monday. I think I sat in my chair with a bag of frozen peas and binge watched Gold Rush.
 
I got two vicodin (or something like that) because there was a delay in the doc getting there due to an emergency. Hit me with some local and I didn't feel shit. Two days and I was good to go. No prob.

Although I did learn there is a nerve in your sack area that is attached to your leg. He pulled something and my leg kicked. :lol:
 
They gave me a Xanax to take before I left the house. I strolled in there feeling real good, like my stoner days.
I was there for 20 minutes, felt like a small bee sting on the ol’ sack is all. It was really more uncomfortable just having a man all of in my junk.
I went home hungry as could be, ate a good meal and slept the rest of the day. I was sore for several days. Snipped on Thursday, back at church and work on Sunday/Monday no problem.

I will say they seem to be a bit more sensitive than they used to be. My son is a handful and does not sit still. He’s got me good in the balls a few times and it’s so much worse than a hit used to be there. Overall, super easy procedure that took 20 minutes and cost me $50 with insurance.

I enjoyed my first one so much I went back for a second. First time didn’t take. Those follow up tests ain’t no joke. One of my tubes grew / healed back together o_O. My wife said “it’s a sign” we’re supposed to have another kid. Uh... NO! Round two, they cut the tube, flipped it back 180 degrees, and crimp cauterized it to itself. Not to mention, I became show and tell to a few extra people.
 
no problems here. tied, cauterized, and titanium clips. had to many scares and had it done. best thing ever. took a while to get clear, had a lot of swimmers. :beer:

I wasn't uncomfortable, but the chick stitching me up sure seemed to get bent outta shape :rolleyes:


OH....not sure if it still applies or if it was just my Dr. but they will NOT perform the procedure if you're under a certain age. And you have to have a wife sign off on the procedure. I asked "what if I were single?" and they said they would NOT do it.

Well, Im 31 with no kids. My wife and I dont want kids and its either this or tubes tied. I was adopted so even if I changed my mind I would probably adopt.
