Anybody had a vasectomy?

Today is the most selected day for a vasectomy. Anyone know why?

Answer: the Masters

Guys get to sit around and watch golf all weekend and blame it on their balls.

I had it. Just make sure you wear that jock strap or keep the boys supported. Well worth it in my opinion! 3 well adjusted kids already contributed to the future of mankind and now no worries!

I need to get one soon

My doc required my wife come to the office and sign a permission form!
I looked it up to see if that was a law. It’s not, but some docs choose to do that so they don’t get sued by pissed off wife. I even found 1 doc that advertises on his website that he doesn’t require your wife’s permission.

Holy shit, am I the only person here not neutered? LOL, just busting you useless balls, I here it's way less expensive and quicker recovery time than having her tubes tied. A guy I work with watched videos on the procedure one day freaked a little, postponed his surgery a month just to get his nerves up again, so don't watch videos of it.

I rotated the 37s on my JKU 3 days afterwards. Seriously if you follow Drs orders and act like a slug for 48 hours afterwards you’ll be fine.

I equate it To getting racked playing a high school sport. Initial pain followed by a dull pain. Exception is that the dull pain lasts a little longer.

I had to visit with the doc first, discuss why I was doing it. Explained I had 2 kids, didn’t want more and the wife was in agreement with that. Pretty sure she had to sign something as well.
I have heard horror stories of it growing back years down the road. I reckon if The Lord wants us to have another then I’ll except that.
There is a few other pros I’ll list since some haven’t been mentioned.

1) no need for birth control. Not a big deal for some but the side affects really messed with my wife. One side affect was she wasn’t much in the mood. When she stopped taking BC I couldn’t keep her off me.

2) a woman getting her tubes tied messes with their hormones quite a bit. I realize some have zero issues, but know of many who regret that decision due to the problems that followed.

3) if you changed your mind it’s easier to reverse for a man than it is a woman.

4) it literally didn’t change anything for me. Drive is still there, full salute, no issues.

5) I am married, I ain’t pulling out or wearing a hat. No more worries about trying not to get pregnant.

I got snipped back in 07. Went into Dr's office around 1, was home by 2. Took it easy all day Friday.
Went to Lowe's Saturday am, bought some blinds and did some light stuff around the house.
Rode my FZ1 to Mount Mitchell on Sunday. Seemed like a good idea at the time but the return trip hurt like a beeyotch.
Wasn't bad at all. Best $50 ( co-pay) I ever spent

if you have been sniped and she decides she wants another baby,I'd like to offer up my services as a intact white male of scandinavian/german/english origins. I'll give ya fair skinned babies with blue eyes, tall and if male, broad chested and wide shouldered like a foot ball player.

...."services"....

If you camp up around the mudhole this time of year might be some nice ladies you can service.

Had mine done 14yrs ago. Not bad, after pain lasts longer but not terrible. Great peace of mind and as mentioned, best money spent. It's definitely an awkward procedure

About 10/15 yrs ago I got an appointment, went to the pre surgery consultation and inspection. The office had multiple doctors and was very busy, a dozen or more solemn/nervous looking guys most w their wives in tow and nobody wanting to make eye contact in the waiting room. The doc I saw was a fruitcake and I was sure he was gay. I also think he was stoned or self medicating. His questions to me and answers to my questions had me sceptical about my testicles. I saw one guy returning while I was waiting, and one returning while I was leaving. Both wearing gym pants and obviously having problems. I got home and called a few friends who I knew had it done. Both told me not to do it. One had complications for more than a year, but he also had self "induced" problems before the procedure and was finally divorced for his problems. The other friend had no complications but said he thought he did it to soon afterwards. I never went back.

The recovery was fine, relatively no pain, just discomfort. The procedure itself hurt like a motherfucker. It literally felt like my balls were being crushed while he was doing it. I almost wonder if the numbing drugs wore off or something. The pain wasnt from the incision or whatever, it was just him having to keep a hold on each ball while he made sure to cut the correct tube from each. I know my terminology is not accurate but then again I dont cut on balls for a living, lol. The recovery time for me was 2 days. I had it done on a Friday morning, then Sunday morning I was replacing the deck on my house. The first time you bust a nut after the surgery its a little uncomfortable, but nothing that will make you scream or anything.
Tears are flying off my face from laughing...thanks! I needed that

Oh hell naw...I've dated an Italian chick before.....never again #metoo
My wife is Italian, so... you pretty much hit that nail on the head! (no pun intended?)

Not getting it cost me Highlander last time as wife got the IUD. Up for renewal in a few years so thats when i may get a 2nd office sized boat.

Well, scheduled for may 25. $750.

$750??

Still worth it, and cheaper than a kid (however kids are worth it all)
But do you not have insurance or will they not cover it? May want to dig into that. Most insurance companies are glad to cover it since the cost of birth and life of a policy for a child is thousands more. Possibly 100’s of thousands if you’re like me lol. Son was about $8k up front for birth, then required surgery and a 2 week stay in the NICU at Brenners that you don’t even wanna know what it cost. He’s 2-1/2 now and I just got all that paid for.
