Friend of a friend was in an all Banjo Pink Floyd cover band in Chapel Hill in the 80s. Wish I could have hear 'em.

I've got a few buddys that play bluegrass. It really is amazing to watch them play. I like Mountain Heart myself, some good hard driving bluegrass. The banjo player with no fingers on one hand is unreal.

Yep, thats him. I actually got to meet him when they played at said buddy's sister wedding (husband now plays with Mountain Heart). He was a super nice guy.

It's amazing what he can do with no fingers....makes me feel less than adequate when I can't play like that even with a fully functioning left hand!

I agree I have wore out there old stuff, but I just can't bring myself to like their new album.

I sorta feel the same way about IIIrd Tyme Out now that Steve (banjo player) and Edgar (bass) left. I just need to see them in person to verify if they're as good as they always were! As long as Justen (fiddle), Russell (guitar and lead vocals), and Wayne (award winning mandolin player!) never leave, they should be just fine!
