I'm getting ready to pick up my first (I say "first" because I hear they are even more addicting than 4 Wheel Drive vehicles). It is either a 71 or 72 Super Beetle (owner has title, but hasn't looked at it to verify year).

Anyone else into them? I've wanted one ever since I was 16. Every time I'm bored at a meeting or whatever, I'm constantly doodling VW Beetles.

I hope to get it in the next week or so.

my crap! older Chenworth frame, 1914cc MOFOCO long block, 48mm IDA webbers, everything besides the frame, carbs, wheels and transaxle brand new, got burnt out on building it and into older trucks and havnt even cared to put it on the road, too much money into it to sell it and not feel violated so she sits in the shop lol

aircooled VWs are fun as hell but like you said addicting and expensive!!

Beautiful machine. What's the electric cooler for? Obviously not A/C... :)

I had a 71 Bus in college and a 72 Super Beetle recently. They're definitely fun toys. Here's my '72
