Anyone know a good RV repair place or want to buy a repairable RV?

So like a year and a half or so ago my parents bought an RV. It is a Class A, 2018 I think, Georgetown. The bought it at Riverside RV in New Bern. I thought there were a few red flags when they bought it, they seemed even more eager to sell it than you would think. Which is saying a lot.

Anyway, about 10 months ago they took it across the country. At one point the bed above the driver's seat came loose but luckily they saw it and managed to secure it. Some other small stuff too. But when they were in California, my wife got sick and was in the hospital with cancer and in their haste to get home he accidentally hit a low overhang with the AC unit. When they got home they took it to an RV repair place by us. When they went to redo the roof, they realized that the roof had been previously replaced and the entire underside was covered in black mold and a lot of the wood was rotten. That's why the bed came loose, the wood was rotten that it was attached to. I feel like the RV place knew this was an issue and wanted to dump it.

Anyway, the insurance won't cover the additional repairs because it was an existing issue that isn't covered. They estimated that it was going to be like $20k to do the repairs.

My dad called Riverside, they said too bad so sad. He said he was going to make some social media posts about it. They said they'd sue him for libel. Only thing they offered him was a trade in on a new RV.

They paid close to $90k on this thing and are going to lose their ass. If they can get it fixed cheap enough they would do that. But right now they can't afford to pay $20-30k to fix it (I think that is overpriced) and they can't afford to sell it.

Anyone have any advice? I'm leaning towards burn it down, but it is already on the insurance radar.

Sorry, all I got.

Is insurance willing to pay anything? It would be nice if they could meet halfway, or at least help out some.

They will cover the roof itself because it was damaged in the AC unit collision, but not any of the mold remediation or wood rot repair. Anything related to the prexisting damage they won't cover.

He said he was going to make some social media posts about it. They said they'd sue him for libel.
If his statement was untrue, they'd have a leg to stand on for the lawsuit. But if what he's saying is true...... it's not libel

They'd have to prove they did NOT sell him an RV with black mold or leaking roof that lead to black mold.

Just sayin

That's what I told him. Apparently they told him they were going to cost him more money in lawyer fees than he would care to deal with.

All I have to offer is...

Anything with the name Riverside attached to it sucks ass. Source: born and raised 5 miles away.
I told them they gave them way too good of a deal. The guy who sold it to them had the last name Crooks, too. And he got fired not long after selling it to them.

They threatened my dad with a lawsuit, not me!

We had Blue Compass replace one of the slides of our class A not too long ago and was happy with the work they did. This was after a mobile repair guy said he could do it and fucked it up and cost us money since the warranty place wouldn't pay twice.

Don't ever go to camping world, they suck probably just as bad as where you got it from. They owed us about 8k for 3 months and kept making excuses around the payment.

Insurance covers fire?
Not after he just told them it has major issues and is clearly looking for an "out"...

What if the entire repair shop burns down? We might solve a lot of problems for people and they'll never be able to figure out WHO wanted the out!

I mean... not like he could have planned that his RC LIPO charger would catch a battery on fire when going on a trip to play RC cars with his grand kids...
