Anyone want to tag along for the KOH trip?

Hah, running out to get a haircut now, unless Rob's leaving early.
Gotta look purty for the ride out there.
Now I'm just hoping you don't mind that I ate mexican for lunch. :flipoff2:
(jk. )

 nah, its all good, I ate some greens and pinto's. :flipoff2: we'll give rob hell on the way out there. j/k

I decided to not pay for a haircut, instead I did it myself. its a little short, but it'll grow back. :D

Rob just left me a message saying it will be late tonight or early in the morning before we leave now. I tried to call him back but I think he's buisy. Has he told you the route were taking out there? just wondering where I need to be for pick-up since I got a friend dropping me off. its prolly going to be kinda nasty on the roads later.

Well, after no sleep for more than 48 hours and endless $$$ spent that I don't want to count, we decided to throw in the towel on the trip.

I gave 110% on the buld and while its running good and up on the trailer, we feel that there is just too much risk to justify spending the $$$ and time to go out there with an untested and un-tuned rig. There are some known issues that need to be adjusted and fixed that will just take too long to do on the lakebed to make it competitive.

I had some good help and I appreciate all the folks that came together at the last minute to help out. It would not be where it is without you.

We'll use the next few weeks to adjust what we need to and have it ready for the DPG even Feb 27, then race ready for the first 2010 ECORS event March 20.

Maybe next year.

I know that was a hard post to type, but It mat be for the best. It would definately suck to go that far and not get to race.
Next year, man, next year.

Rob, sorry to hear that. Sounds like a tough decision but definitely a long trip with that much unknown. March!

I fly out tomorrow around noon. Catch y'all on the flip side.

Since I had the time scheduled for it, I still considered catching a flight out there for the week with my "trail" camping gear so I can sleep on the cheap.

Actually, still considering it...

Hey Rob, Dont go to Cali..stick around and come up with a contest like Pirate did, and have an essay contest on NC4X4 for who should drive your buggy in March.:driver:

That would generate alot of ECORS press.

Sorry to hear you guys didnt get to race, take the time to get it right, see you @ DPG:beer:

GO.
NOW.

I wish. I'm just spending the time tuning on the buggy a little this week.
I looked at plane tickets etc, and then just said F it should save the money.
(That and don't really know anyone out there well enough to try and ask for favors, like a place to shower. :D )

I look at tickets everyday. Still hoping I'll convince myself to buy one and go
