I was watching the UFC Silva VS Irvin which just ended less than a minute into the first round, and Im just curious, has anyone ever seen any one as dominant as Silva is? I mean he has just walked all over the competition in the UFC. Hes crushed Rich Franklin a couple of times, he knocked out Leben(who can take a punch) in his UFC debut, forced Lutter (hope I spelled that right) a Ju-Jitsu expert to tap out via triangle choke, and he just made this fight Irvin, who he (Silva) moved up a weight class to fight, look way to easy. I understand Irvin isnt the best 205 lb fighter out there but hes no joke at the same time.

In the old days Royce was pretty impressive. In Pride, Fedor was impressive but I'm not impressed by the guys he beat. Matt Hughes had a longer reign than the Spider has and Liddel has beat more quality guys than anybody I can think of.

It's hard to pick a single greatest fighter but if Spider keeps this up he'll be the man. (FWIW, Randy Couture not only won at different weights but he was the champ in two different weights several times.)

Very good points, Royce was the man back in the day, and he would fight like 4-5 times in one night. Ive never watched any Pride, ive only seen highlights of the recent Pride fights featuring fighters now in the UFC. Matt Hughes was impressive to watch as well. Have you seen GSP though in his past couple of fights, he looks unstoppable, he tore through Serra, Serra looked like he was ready for that last fight to be over. What Couture did was impressive as well, being his age and still taking it to the younger competition.

probubly not the best card I've seen either but it was free,no ppv, and did anyone else see the cut under his eye when silva popped him. it looked like it was about 4 inchs long

Silva is a exeptionally gifted fighter. He has long limbs, incredible speed(footwork and strikes), accurate strikes, and powerful strikes. You don't see many with the length, speed, and power - truly unique. I don't know if I've ever seen someone as accurate as he is. Vitor Belfort in his younger days was also impressive in this manner. Watch how he sets up his feet and how quick he can read the opponents next move. With most fighters I can pick out several missed opprotunites, and I understand why they're missed - it's just difficult to be that quick. Silva is so quick.... he takes advantage of almost every situation. The kick he caught last night for example, most in his spot would have just ate it and kept working an angle. He was quick enough to see it, catch it, be in stance for a punch, and then punch on the money. That kind of speed is hard to react to - by the time you've processed the thought to block or move, it's too late. He hits square most of the time and it shows. With his skills I'm confident he could do well in any weight class.

this is exaclty the reason I have a hard time paying for some pay per views..

all the hype and it lasted 1:01 mins..

Yes I think Silva is very good.. but I like to see the fights go atleast into the 2nd round..

but man I was Pissed when I saw they brought back Jesse from ultimate fighter..but I was glad he lost..
by his actions in Vegas he should not be fighting.. for a while.. I guarentee he has not grown that much in the last 9 months since the end of that show..

just goes to show that UFC is all about the money and they do not really care about anythign else

eh, I kinda liked Jesse from the Ultimate Fighter, I agree that what he did in Vegas after the show was way out of line and he should have a little more time to think about his actions. I really dislike that CB Dollaway guy, just way to cocky for me. Favorite quote from the ultimate fighter via Jesse "it was the icing on the ice cream"
