Anything Worth Eating and McDonalds?

after a while you just eat it and go on, never one of my go-to places but kids think this place is epic, so maybe 2-3 times a month i am forced to just eat it for the "cause" yeah yeah im a terrible dad

scared to death!!!!!

Steak egg and cheese bagel w extra onion ( you can ask for them and offer to pay for more onions and they'll stick a tag on the wrapper saying extra onions, but they are'nt on the sammich) I guess I need to say MUCHO ONIONOS!........local Bojangles has the porkchop biscuit right now, yum.

My wife is very particular about food quality and type of food, and only allows us to get 1 thing from there: the Southwest Chicken Salad. However, she still reminds me that the dressing and tortilla chips in it are pretty fattening and processed, but overall, its one of the better fast-food meals out there, and its really good. The other chicken salads may also be ok, but they aren't as good.

I tried a 6pc mighty wings combo Sunday. Their alright and I've had and can make better tasting ones. On a side note I bit into one and I swear it looks like they molded pink slime onto a bone. I ate 2/6 then gave the rest away, doubt I'll eat anymore anytime soon.

I go there maybe once every two-three weeks for lunch, mostly because our fast food options here are limited to McDonalds, Bojangles, and Subway.

I usually just get two double "cheeseburgers" and a large fry. I haven't had anything else on their menu in years.

I, for one, enjoy the biscuits and hamburgers.

Nothing better than a QPC combo with a cold Dr. Pepper!

Here is why I never eat fast food:

Assuming the same item(s) are prepared:

Fast food cost - cost of food, cost of building, overhead, labour, taxes, regulatory burdens

Regular food cost - cost of food, electricity (negligible)

Furthermore, conversations with health inspectors are most elucidating. Tyrone gets paid either way, so he has no incentive to follow sanitation procedures if he can get away with it. If I undercook or contaminate something and get sick, I and only I suffer.

Given that the quality of the food is inferior to begin with, as evidenced by pink slime in chicken nuggets, genetically modified ingredients, preservatives with alien names, and the poor safety of bulk foods supplied to cheap restaurants, fast food included, the only reason that fast food is profitable and widespread as is because most people are ignorant spendthrifts.

Y'all made me hungry this morning, had to grab me some of those burritos. I miss the original burrito, they called the mcskillet I think.

Walmart has better salads. You can see the folks making them & the area they are being made in.. The will make them at your request right in front of you.

One of my high school buddies used to work at the chicken nugget plant (Equity meats). He says he wouldn't touch a chicken nugget with a 10 ft pole. I got sick off a Cookout cheeseburger last weekend. Fast food is not really food at all.

........hungery ignorant spendthrifts, in a hurry

Thank you for proving my point. I suppose you would be too ignorant to plan ahead and put a few sandwiches in ziplocs in the refrigerator so they will be available for breakfast &/or lunch.

I do the same, but with chicken breasts; they can be eaten cold.

Let's not forget that the regular food cost has already been marked up to account for the overhead, taxes, labor, etc for sitting in the grocery store. And let's not forget about opportunity costs, these days I'm up at 5, and doing some sort of work until 9-10 at night, with not much down time...cooking a meal usually means 15...30...60 minutes that will come from where??? Being a guy that literally had to live off $3/day at one point in his life...I'll say the grocery store isn't always the cheapest alternative with the likes of dollar menus. A couple heads of lettuce, some carrots, a loaf of bread, some bologna and a dash of ramen and you're tapped out until next week. Or you could get a mcdouble, crispy chicken, nuggets, etc and rotate 5 different fast food joints with a10+ items on that menu...you tell me which you'd prefer. I'm not advocating fast food, but I will say grocery shopping isn't always the cheapest alternative.

its not, but atleast you pretty much know what you are putting in your body and you or a loved one is preparing it.
What scares me is all the growth hormones that this food has...Sometimes, I wish that I lived on a farm and had access to pigs, cows, chickens, and my own harvest of fruits/veggies

I have a co worker who used to work there... He succesfully ruined the nuggets for me... but what kind of man gets sick off cook out? Thats my go to drunk food and I know half of Kernersville lives off it!

This is the plant that my dad visited to do some sprinkler work for....He said that the room where they keep all the flour was covered in roaches every time you step on the floor.
He also said that the smell is unbearable..he had to wear a mask to walk around that place.

I know! I think I was more pissed that it was from Cookout than the fact that I got sick..haha. If I am going to eat fast food, Cookout is (was) my fav spot!
