Automotive bubble....has it burst?

obviosuly a big down payment, a good trade in, or a super long term.
you are paying the $50k+ somehow
nothing is free

new F250s start at $43,970. Without taxes and tags and insurnace and no interest, that is $732.83 on 5 year plan.
Key word is “start” at $43k.

During the heat of my search it was nearly impossible to find anything base model that wasn’t equipped with $5k of dealer add ons. That is specific to anything that was already on the lot.

I guess you could order one from the factory but you probably aren’t getting a lot of discounts.

I am aware. It was $52K IIRC $15K down. Whole reason I'm over paying every month is to pay less long term. I will pay more when the alimony ends.

Maybe somewhere, but not near me. I always just mixed my duck eggs in with my chicken eggs and sold them like that. I've never met anyone that sought out duck eggs
Any body who bakes seriously would take duck Hess over chicken eggs any day due to the properties of a duck egg compared to a chicken egg. The whites are perfect and the yolks are way better.

Oh for sure. My mom saves her duck eggs for cakes and other baking. I just don't know anyone who would actually pay the prices mentioned above for them

People who are allergic to chicken eggs

I don't know any of those people either 🤣
I present to you exhibit A, my little boy. Full blown anaphylactic egg allergy. He took one bite of banana pudding when he was one. Twenty minutes later he’s in an ambulance not breathing. It’s a royal pain in the ass trying to find food for him. Everything has egg in it. Hopefully he’ll grow out of it. He’s about to be 6 and shows no signs of it letting up as of last test. Told my wife I wanted to trade him in , but I’m upside down in my trade. Guess I’ll keep him, lol.

Is he able to eat duck eggs? I never knew this was a thing, i figured they were so similar that if you were allergic to one, you would be allergic to the other.

We found out my middle kid had a soy and canola oil allergy at 2.5-3...luckily never got to the point of not breathing, but do have epipens. Breaks out in hives and has 'difficulty' breathing, said it feels like her throat and chest were tightening. Basically had to switch her to an all raw diet, which she didn't mind, she primarily ate fresh produce anyway...aside from snacks (where the soy/canola oil are damn near the top ingredient). However, seems she's grown out of it, and we found out accidentally. Wife freaked out one day at school pickup when she got there a little earlier and saw kids sharing/trading/snacks. Apparently, this had been going on for months. Teachers were/are aware of the allergy, but understandably can't give my kid 1 on 1 attention, especially at pick up. After digesting this information, took her back to the allergist, and absolutely nothing registers. But I'm still pretty nervous it could come back with a vengeance some day.

My little dude refuses to eat anything from school or friends. He doesn’t participate in snack time or eat anything at birthday parties. He did this all on his own. Docs think it could be a natural response to what happened to him. We have to pack him a meal for anywhere he goes. About the only way he’d ingest eggs would be by force or something mislabeled. He’s either really smart or a weirdo. He’s allergic to the earth. Eggs, slight peanut, pets break him out, sometimes latex/rubber, he can’t wear new clothes unless they’re washed (I do that anyway but my wife is gross and wears new clothes without washing), he’s got some issues that hopefully he grows out of. My little brother was allergic to a bunch of stuff but grew out of it pretty quickly. Hope that’s the case.

(I do that anyway but my wife is gross and wears new clothes without washing),

Can I just say I feel like this is a topic that doesn’t get enough attention. My wife will take it out of the bag and put it right in the closet/dresser (now contaminating the other clothes it touched). I don’t know who decided to pick their ass in a dressing room, then wipe their finger across the floor, and then drop the clothing on the floor, only to be refolded and put back on the rack, until my wife decides to purchase that piece of ass tainted clothing.

Bro, you read my mind. Who knows what kind of nasty bastard tried it on before me. Not to mention the fact it was made and shipped from a third world country where hygiene just ain’t a thing.

I'm the same way. My GF is the opposite. No way will I wear anything before I wash it unless its an emergency.

This is me - but it isn’t the dressing room that triggers it.
I have no known allergies except - my skin freaks out with detergents - very picky so that shot gets washed 2-3x before it goes on my body. I break out in these huge welp looking rash. It has happened maybe 10 times in my life. And once since I was l in charge of my own laundry.

I’ve also seen horror stories . When wife was running the embroidery business we’ve opened boxes with dead birds and snakes inside of shirt cases…

Hey, snakes and birds need jobs too, not just children!

More proof we have stopped Darwin in his tracks, some of y'all never should have made it :flipoff2:

this from the blind guy who would have walked right off a ledge as a toddler

Gotta keep this going. :D

I helped my mother-in-law buy a new car last night. The dealership still tried to add a $5000 "market adjustment" to the msrp. 4 hours later, we had $1k off the msrp, zero market adjustment and most of the cost of the dealer related fees and "extras" removed from the invoice.

You won't get a steal right now, (the lots are not full again) but you can certainly drive away below MSRP if you are willing to put in the effort.
