So i am thinking that I am going to build a "racecar". Well okay it is not really racing, but more like a demo derby on an oval track.http://lowesmotorspeedway.com/crashcars/
I used to race somthing similar to this when i lived in Michigan, but there it was called an enduro. basically a "pure" stock car with radial wheels. The race would consist of 200-250 laps depending on the track (1/4 to 1/2 mile) and would generally start with 75-120 cars. Yes for those of you who are smart that means that at 3 wide cars are lined up from start to finish.
The Crashcars at lowes are a little different, but i want to give it a try. So, I was wondering if anyone here has ever done it, or know someone who has. I would like to get some input on it from a driver to know what to expect. Also wondering if anyone has interest/experience to help me set up the car. it is a lot of work for one person to take on.
here is an idea of what the cars look like that I raced:

They use to hold four Enduro races per year at Caraway Speedway. I just checked their website, and it looks like this is the first year they will not be running them. Bummer. It was good fun to watch.

We used to watch Enduro races at Waterford Speedbowl growing up in CT. Lots of fun, I always wanted to put together a car when I 'grew up'.
I thought BowmanGray had something like that, but I can't find anything on their website, just the weekly Stadium Stock 4bangers.

Looks like a lot of fun. Too bad I traded my fullsized Buick Century for my 4x4. I got to reading about it while on the site and not only will it provide entertainment for adults and racers alike but with their rules and the way they want everything set up it will be great for kids. For example maybe someone has their car painted like Megatron from the transformers, you could paint yours like Optimus Prime and go around the track bashing the Megatron car. Or I guess to put it in the time frame for the young crowd these days maybe Darth Vader vs Obi-Wan or something.

I've seen these crash cars at lowes and you notice that kids or people for that matter take to whoever the aggressor is. Just like in hockey you always like the guy that throws the hardest checks. Just have a creative name/theme and don't be afraid to knock a few people around and you will easily be a crowd favorite, where people come back looking for you. By the way its a ton of fun, they had little ramps/drop offs on the track and obstacles in the way in certain areas, just a real good time.

I watched them 2 times and it gets me pumped to build another car. I would like to build one for both the Crash series and have it set up for Enduros if i can find a local track to race at. anyone know who to contact about getting NC4x4 on the car?
